🤝 Meet Malta Further & Higher Education Authority! 💡 Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA) published its first RPL guidelines for providers of further and higher education programmes in 2020 in collaboration with the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) Partnership. The scope of these guidelines was twofold: (a) to standardise practices and establish clear procedures to be followed by providers and (b) to promote RPL as a reliable tool for life-long and life-wide learning. Institutions are using RPL in Malta either as a means to obtain access to programmes of further and higher education as well as to obtain exemption from specific modules based on a rigorous RPL process. MFHEA is currently updating these guidelines through an agreed work plan with SCQF consisting also of an extensive research study to assess the state of play of RPL in Malta and how it is being used and its effectiveness.
