We often talk about framing our products for the customer. And Easter is no different. Whilst our OG Hot Crossy is killer toasted and slathered in butter... What to do with the leftovers? We got creative and came up with a Hot Cross Bun Pudding. And instead of telling our peeps about it, we thought we'd show them. What are you doing with your leftover Hot Cross buns this Easter? #threemillsbakery #easter #marketing

I went to a farmer's market last Friday in Polson, Montana and experienced what Donald Miller's StoryBrand theory espouses: humans (especially consumers) run from confusion. The booths that caught and kept my attention were the booths with the fewest items. I looked at most booths and somewhat subconsciously thought, 'I don't have a category for this booth. There's everything from souvenir tee shirts to fresh cherries to hand-carved trinkets. Let's keep moving.' The booths that DID capture and retain my attention were super simple: 1. a gentleman selling local honey. That was it. 2. a gentleman selling a clever beer opener. That was it. 3. a gentleman selling mushrooms. That was it. 4. a lady selling handmade lolly pops. Well, she actually was selling coffee cups, too, but those were tucked kinda outta sight. When my kids spent their 'tourist money' from their grandfather, do you wanna guess the two final contenders? Honey and lolly pops. Wanna guess the eventual winner? Lolly pops. Thanks to my fellow Rustonite, Len Woods, for teaching me more about StoryBrand. I've got a long way to go in becoming a StoryBrand. Here's a picture of my secondborn (aka cutest four year old on the planet) holding one of these fancy lolly pops - unicorn shaped and made with (I assume local?) huckleberry syrup. #storybrand

It's #FlippinFriday! I'm talking about more then flippin chicken wings. I'm talking flippin FROM: Price TO: Value I'm not talking about just changing the words in a sales pitch, I'm talking about understanding what VALUE a customer is looking to be delivered. This VALUE can only be known if you understand what is trying to be accomplished but more importantly is WHY it is trying to be accomplished. Simply put. WHAT I did was, make lunch WHY I did it was to show appreciation Any PRICE I paid for chicken wings is work the VALUE it brought because of the WHY. If you'd like to have a VALUE conversation about AV Monitoring, know that I'm going to ask WHY you're looking at Pro Active support.
