Cannabis-infused beverages are taking the industry by storm this year, positioning themselves as one of the fastest-growing segments in cannabis. Advances in emulsification technology have significantly improved the absorption of cannabinoids in these beverages, making them fast-acting and offering a more predictable experience for consumers. This is a huge shift from traditional edibles or smoking, as people look for healthier, more sophisticated ways to incorporate cannabis into their lifestyle. It's a trend that mirrors the rise of Athletic or non-alcoholic beer in the spirits industry, where consumers are prioritizing wellness and mindful consumption. With major brands investing in this space and product offerings ranging from energy drinks and sparkling waters to relaxation teas, it seems like cannabis beverages are on track to make an impact. Do you think cannabis beverages will be the biggest growth product in 2025? Is this a trend that’s here to stay, or just a passing phase? #CannabisBeverages #CannabisTrends #CannabisMarket

The cannabev category can support a lot of diversity in liquid. I get questions like “what do they taste like?” The cannabis ingedient is typically 0.5 mLs in a 355 mL beverage. So essentially, it will taste like the base liquid. Drop that into a cold brew coffee, drop that into water. The taste of the final beverage will differ dramatically. Cannabev is only a category because of regulations. I view these compounds more like ingredients. We don’t call it the caffenie category, do we? If you’re starting a brand, you need to be one of two things to make it worth the effort - 1) the best in the sub-category (category as defined by you) 2) the cheapest So if you’re making a cannabis cocktail, you need to tell me why you’re better than everyone else doing it. Show me a creative new angle, like MAGIC CACTUS has done and you’ll get my love and attention. The 🌵 doesn’t taste like many, and flavor is subjective. It’s a got a margarita vibe. What got me? The combination of low sugar, flavor, THCv and electrolytes. I can drink this anytime and drink 5 of them without a second thought. I’d get bored drinking fruity waters, and too much delta 9 THC can make me either sleepy or an annoying over talker. Another product I’m loving is Creek Water Botanicals. Kris Kooi grows the hemp himself in NorCal, and packs a whopping 65 mgs of functional cannabis minors in a carbonated hop water. If you’ve never handled hops, I can tell you it’s a very close cousin of cannabis. I’ll drink the CBG rich SKU after lunch to lock in to my tasks and meetings, and the hops give me the placebo effect of tricking my brain Im drinking a 🍺. Since it’s a water, I can go workout after I’m done. If you’ve tried either of these bevs, share your feedback below. The founders will be reading and they know I want to help them get it out there. #drinkcannabis

It's not a big secret that I've moved away from alcohol and am enjoying the "Cali-sober" lifestyle. This really thorough article from Eater Twin Cities dives deep into the rise and strength of the hemp-derived beverage business here in Minnesota. I know at the co-op we are constantly refilling our cooler, and most of our SKU's are local brands. I've tried them all (you're welcome) and have opinions on milligrams of THC and CBD, flavors, bubbles, price, and how they make me feel in general. Overall, it's been terrific for a little evening relaxation and definitely makes a positive impact on sleep (I'm not a doctor, don't play one on tv, please talk to your own doctor for actual advice). This industry is only growing, and with the full legalization here in MN and dispensaries opening next year, there are bound to be changes. Enjoy this article with a little bit of history lesson. If you want a recommendation from me as to what my favorites are, come on by the Wedge and I'll show you! https://lnkd.in/ghfVeXeP

📈 Trend Alert: THC Beverages 🍹 As the leading market research software platform, we've spotted an emerging trend that food & beverage manufacturers need to keep an eye on: THC beverages. Over the past year, Google search volume for THC beverages has surged by a whopping 75%. These drinks, infused with tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) - the primary psychoactive compound found in cannabis, offer benefits such as euphoria, relaxation, pain relief, and nausea reduction. They come in various forms like sodas, teas, and infused waters, providing a refreshing alternative to traditional cannabis consumption methods. This trend is particularly popular in regions where cannabis is legal for recreational or medicinal use. It's a clear indication of changing consumer preferences and the increasing acceptance of cannabis-infused products. As a data-driven platform, we strongly recommend food & beverage manufacturers to explore this growing trend. It's a new frontier in the health, food-beverage, beverages, and CPG categories. Stay ahead of the curve and seize the opportunity to innovate and cater to evolving consumer needs. #THCBeverages #FoodAndBeverageTrends #MarketResearch #DataDriven
