Tokens related to #AI or claiming to be utilizing AI rallied over the weekend as OpenAI unveiled its text-to-video generator, Sora. According to CoinMarketCap's data, Ocean Protocol’s OCEAN, Arkham Intelligence's ARKM and Fetch.AI’s FET rose more than 10% in the past 24 hours. Worldcoin’s WLD surged 46%, the highest among all AI tokens, reaching a new all time high of $7.6. The parent company of Worldcoin was founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, leading some traders to view WLD as a bet on the growth of OpenAI. Interest in AI-related tokens spike in early 2023 when ChatGPT and image generation software gain popularity. It dipped in the past few months as the hype slowed down, but Sora’s launch on Friday has reignited interest again. Catch all the news on our DefiDive news page. #crypto

Deutsche Bank's "Latest in AI" Artificial Intelligence is as hot as ever. Google searches for technology terms continue to be dominated by #AI, with ChatGPT making a late summer surge as students ease the pain of that first post-vacation assignment. Virtual reality and the #metaverse had their moments in the sun in recent years, Google Trends data show. #Crypto, which briefly overtook AI in mid-2021, continues to excite some interest. But searches for AI this month are as high as they have ever been, and 20 times as high as crypto.

Breaking news in the world of artificial intelligence today. OpenAI has unveiled a major update to its ChatGPT model, with analysts suggesting it has the potential to disrupt the virtual assistant market. The new ChatGPT-4o, with the "o" standing for omni, boasts significant advancements in natural language processing, allowing for human-like response times and the ability to adjust its tone and expressiveness based on user requests. This has sent shockwaves through the tech sector, with whispers of Apple potentially integrating ChatGPT-4o into its next iOS iteration. While an official partnership remains unconfirmed, such a move could significantly challenge Google's dominance in the virtual assistant space, with their own AI announcements expected at their I/O conference tomorrow. Macquarie Equity Research analysts point to OpenAI's existing web-scraping infrastructure, suggesting a future foray into search is likely, posing a potential long-term threat to Google's core business. Investors will be closely watching this space, as the battle for AI supremacy heats up. With both OpenAI and Google making significant strides, the implications for the tech industry and beyond are yet to be fully understood. We'll continue to monitor developments closely. #artificialintelligence #machinelearning #capitalmarkets #AI4good #aicommunity #psrc #plazosullivanrochecapital #cryptocurrency #cryptomarkets #algorithmictrading

Similar to ongoing wave of regulation in #crypto, individuals relying on #ChatGPT will face significant challenges as governments move to 'regulate' #AI systems. It is unwise to establish your business or publishing endeavors on centralized, cloud-based corporate control systems. Those who opt for such approaches are likely to encounter significant obstacles.

A few Monday AI headlines I saw today! Sam Altman's Worldcoin benefits from AI frenzy. There's a method to the madness, proof of humanity, and proof of provenance of an artifact from a specific authenticated human via public blockchain has a certain logic. All innovations are surrounded by hype. AI is full of hype. As a private investor who believes in fair capitalism in digital asset property rights, the most important unintended consequence of AI’s rise to prominence is the rapidly universally emerging awareness that DATA is the critical AI FUEL, and that the data has clear OWNERS. What ChatGPT, Google, Meta, Microsoft and others have unleashed is a previously unheard of awareness within brands, celebrities, authors, artists, experts, even individuals, that their data, jointly and severally, has immense value. Can’t put that genie back in the bottle. That awareness alone will ignite the discovery of untapped data sources. And it will be a wild ride, just like oil. Even better. Yesterday was a breakthrough day, where one of the most prolific entities that represents the most prolific Original Content Creators learned that vast, major untapped reserves of data exist, and they are potentially sitting on top of them, and can monetize those reserves. If they choose to. If not, others will. It was akin to when oil was first discovered in what turned out to be the world's largest oil reserves, in Saudi Arabia in 1938. A world thirsty for AI fuel, and here is a massive, high quality, untapped reserve. I don’t know, and I don’t care, if AI lives up to its hype. I do know DATA will live up to its hype. And the world will never be the same again.
