Is there a harder asset location condition than deep snow? Ugh! So many cold, snowy nights when I was on-call at Sweetwater that folks would call in claiming their meter was frozen. Knowing full well that it was likely an issue with their service line or something inside the house, I would still drive out there and spend so much time trying to find the dang meter pit under the snow. Even though I thought I remembered where it was, there's something about the cold conditions and white blanket of snow on the ground that makes us forget and those extra minutes (or hours) not only cost the utility overtime money, but it cost me time at home with my family.
