Welcome back to the warehouse. No pun intended. What I missed and what I definitely didn’t miss: I missed: - Getting out the house. It’s unhealthy to stay indoors for so long. Felt like 2020 all over again. - Interacting with the team. Our office banter is pretty decent, it’s a fun place to come to work. - Solving day to day logistics problems I get a kick out of finding solutions for our customers’ fulfilment challenges. I didn't miss: - Heavy lifting Most boxes we handle are surprise surprise… not filled with feathers. - 200km daily drive I ‘waste’ nearly 2.5 hours driving to and back from work. - Working for 2 weeks 😉 Who doesn’t like a ‘holiday’? All jokes aside, it’s great to be back onsite. Yehuda Halpern you did an excellent job in my absence. Let’s see if I still remember how to fulfill EU orders…

Retail and commercial workers, whether they’re on the front lines in stores, working behind the scenes in warehouses, or out on the road making deliveries, face a myriad of risks every day. These challenges are often compounded by exhaustion and fatigue from long hours, overheating in warm environments, and being understaffed. 🚚 Delivery Drivers: Navigating traffic, lifting heavy packages, and meeting tight deadlines can be stressful and physically demanding. 🏬 Warehouse Workers: Operating machinery, handling heavy items, and maintaining high productivity in hot conditions can lead to serious injuries. 🛍️ Retail Staff: Dealing with high customer volume, standing for long periods, and sometimes even facing aggressive behavior, all while being short-staffed, takes a toll on their health and well-being. Always have a Roster set up for your Teams Breaks, in a Warehouse, so as a Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Supervisor, you are aware of where your Team Members are during the day. You can split your Teams into Two ( 2 ). For Example : Tea Break : 09.45 to 10.00 and 10:00 to 10.15. Lunch Break : 12.30 to 13.00 and 13.00 to 13.30 Tea Break : 14.30 to 14.45 and 14.45 to 15.00. This is a Guideline, to use when working with your Team in a Warehouse Environment.

While some Folks are hitting snooze for the third time, our AM morning shift Ops Pros and Warehouse Warriors are already knee-deep in the day's chaos Ops & Warehouse at 4 AM: - Dodging forklifts like it's an Olympic sport - Problem solving overnight mysteries Sherlock Holmes wouldn't touch - Keeping the supply chain intact with nothing but litres of coffee and millilitres of patience ☕💪 Meanwhile, elsewhere (*cough* Sales *cough* Marketing): - Debating whether to get a caramel latte or a frappuccino at 10 AM. 🤔 - Complaining that the office thermostat is set a degree too cold 🥶 - "Working from home" but really just running errands when not on the couch 😂 Is it time we admit that the real MVPs are the ones who start before the sun does? Or should we keep pretending that all departments are "equally challenging"? 😉 Because while some are dreaming of success, others are waking up early to make it happen! #Logistics #Trucking #SupplyChain #Transport #Freight #InterstateTransport #RoadFreight #TransportServices #Linehaul #Procurement #3PL #Warehousing #Warehouse #FreightForwarder #FreightForwarding #TruckingNews #cargo #Import #Export #OceanFreight #SeaFreight #AirFreight #Australia

More orders than you can fulfill? Sounds like a dream. Until it becomes a safety concern. When your warehouse is buckling under the pressure, re-evaluate. Not just for efficiency, but also for safety. At IMPACT EVOLVE, we know what good and bad looks like. And we know that streamlining your warehouse layout and optimising pick & pack processes aren't just about speed - they're about creating a safer workplace. Because it's a fine line between managing a surge in orders and risking a health and safety nightmare.

The Everyday Logistics of My Life . . . Each day, I find myself not only managing tasks but also orchestrating a personal logistics operation. From the moment I wake up, my mind runs like a finely-tuned supply chain system. It starts with inventory management🤷♀️ what’s left in the fridge? Do I have enough coffee for the morning or fuel for the car? I’m already in “procurement” mode🥵, determining what needs to be restocked to keep the house running smoothly. Next comes transportation planning. Just like coordinating a fleet of trucks🤪, I calculate the most efficient routes for my day—whether it’s picking up parcels, making that important meeting , or squeezing in a gym session. Then, there’s the constant juggling of priorities and “task.” 🤦Some are urgent, like making sure dinner ingredients are sourced, while others are more routine, like ensuring bills are paid or emails answered. Every task has its place in the workflow, requiring careful scheduling and resource allocation. And let’s not forget the “warehousing” aspect. 🤷♀️Just like a logistics hub needs organized shelves, I need an organized home—knowing where everything is when I need it. The end of the day involves reverse logistics—putting things back in place, ensuring the system is ready to start all over again tomorrow. My life might seem like a normal routine to some, but when I think about it, it’s a seamless flow of logistics in action, from morning to night.😌 So, while I might not be moving containers across oceans or managing supply chains for global corporations, I am definitely the chief logistics officer of my life 😂, keeping the operation smooth, efficient, and, most importantly, running right on schedule. #logistics #supplychain
