Welcome back to the warehouse. No pun intended. What I missed and what I definitely didn’t miss: I missed: - Getting out the house. It’s unhealthy to stay indoors for so long. Felt like 2020 all over again. - Interacting with the team. Our office banter is pretty decent, it’s a fun place to come to work. - Solving day to day logistics problems I get a kick out of finding solutions for our customers’ fulfilment challenges. I didn't miss: - Heavy lifting Most boxes we handle are surprise surprise… not filled with feathers. - 200km daily drive I ‘waste’ nearly 2.5 hours driving to and back from work. - Working for 2 weeks 😉 Who doesn’t like a ‘holiday’? All jokes aside, it’s great to be back onsite. Yehuda Halpern you did an excellent job in my absence. Let’s see if I still remember how to fulfill EU orders…

Retail and commercial workers, whether they’re on the front lines in stores, working behind the scenes in warehouses, or out on the road making deliveries, face a myriad of risks every day. These challenges are often compounded by exhaustion and fatigue from long hours, overheating in warm environments, and being understaffed. 🚚 Delivery Drivers: Navigating traffic, lifting heavy packages, and meeting tight deadlines can be stressful and physically demanding. 🏬 Warehouse Workers: Operating machinery, handling heavy items, and maintaining high productivity in hot conditions can lead to serious injuries. 🛍️ Retail Staff: Dealing with high customer volume, standing for long periods, and sometimes even facing aggressive behavior, all while being short-staffed, takes a toll on their health and well-being. Always have a Roster set up for your Teams Breaks, in a Warehouse, so as a Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Supervisor, you are aware of where your Team Members are during the day. You can split your Teams into Two ( 2 ). For Example : Tea Break : 09.45 to 10.00 and 10:00 to 10.15. Lunch Break : 12.30 to 13.00 and 13.00 to 13.30 Tea Break : 14.30 to 14.45 and 14.45 to 15.00. This is a Guideline, to use when working with your Team in a Warehouse Environment.

#transportation #Freightalk #seafreight #ecommerce #logistics #vessel #aircargo #seacargo #warehousing #digitaltransformation #rail #trucking #networking #businessdevelopment There are several reasons why #Friday holds significance for Logistics professionals: 👉Weekend preparation: Most businesses and offices operate on a Monday to Friday schedule, and Fridays serve as a natural transition into the weekend. Freight forwarders and logistics professionals need to ensure that all #shipments, documents, and schedules are in order before the end of the workweek. This helps prevent delays and keeps operations running smoothly. 👉Last-minute shipments: Many customers (#exporters and #importers) often have urgent or last-minute #shipping requirements that need to be addressed before the weekend. "Freight forwarders" and "logistics" professionals work diligently to accommodate these requests, making Fridays particularly busy as they scramble to fulfill the needs of their clients. 👉Clearing backlogs: Any pending tasks or unfinished assignments from the week must be completed on Friday to avoid delays in the supply chain. Logistics professionals prioritize these tasks to ensure that all shipments are processed efficiently and in a timely manner. 👉Planning for the upcoming week: Fridays also serve as a crucial day for planning and strategizing for the following week. This includes coordinating schedules, allocating resources, and communicating with clients and partners to ensure that all parties are aligned and prepared for the upcoming workload. 👉Closing out the week: Finally, Fridays offer an opportunity for freight forwarders and logistics professionals to review the week's performance, identify any issues or areas for improvement, and celebrate successes. This helps to maintain a high level of motivation and morale among the team members, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the organization. ✍️In summary, Fridays are important for the freight forwarding and logistics industry as they serve as a critical day for wrapping up the week's work, addressing last-minute needs, and preparing for the following week

While some Folks are hitting snooze for the third time, our AM morning shift Ops Pros and Warehouse Warriors are already knee-deep in the day's chaos Ops & Warehouse at 4 AM: - Dodging forklifts like it's an Olympic sport - Problem solving overnight mysteries Sherlock Holmes wouldn't touch - Keeping the supply chain intact with nothing but litres of coffee and millilitres of patience ☕💪 Meanwhile, elsewhere (*cough* Sales *cough* Marketing): - Debating whether to get a caramel latte or a frappuccino at 10 AM. 🤔 - Complaining that the office thermostat is set a degree too cold 🥶 - "Working from home" but really just running errands when not on the couch 😂 Is it time we admit that the real MVPs are the ones who start before the sun does? Or should we keep pretending that all departments are "equally challenging"? 😉 Because while some are dreaming of success, others are waking up early to make it happen! #Logistics #Trucking #SupplyChain #Transport #Freight #InterstateTransport #RoadFreight #TransportServices #Linehaul #Procurement #3PL #Warehousing #Warehouse #FreightForwarder #FreightForwarding #TruckingNews #cargo #Import #Export #OceanFreight #SeaFreight #AirFreight #Australia
