"Are you solving your own teams problem, or your end users problem?" Wise words from Jane Ward! This one hits me hard knowing how many LD teams stick with Rise because it's familiar and comfortable! Thanks for having us at your first tech expo Tomorrow's People 😄❤ #humancentereddesign #onlinelearning #designthinking

I wonder when Altos Labs (you have more resources than any other organisation) is going to make the discovery that 'happiness' is the basis to healthy longevity? (Mechanism - cortisol sensitivity / blood glucose homeostasis) - control of blood glucose levels by taming Insulin is that important. There are 3 key mechanisms for ensuring glucose homeostasis - food quantity/quality + exercise quantity/quality + eustress quantity/quality - where the dominant effect on premature ageing arises from the psychosocial stress of needing money to survive (and the inequality and enmity which therafter then exists between people).
I found this in a zoom booth today at Altos Labs - at a moment this message was particularly apt. One small positive action can be as simple as leaving a note #behappy 😍

Why the Vevox Yo-Yo’s? Brands offer all sorts of swag from socks to squidgy toys to help raise their profile & find a way into homes and offices! We’ve been handing out wooden Yo-Yo’s for some time now which people seem to LOVE! Here’s why we think they break the ice so well, spark conversations & fit with our values… 1. Ice breakers: People instantly reminisce on their school days and misspent youth at the sight of them, and we love hearing & sharing those stories. 2. Hidden skills…and fun!: We’ve had loads of fun with them from showing people how to use one for the first time, through to closet Yo-Yo pros revealing their skills to us & their colleagues. 3. Not wasteful: These little spinners are far from the single use items you sometimes see on offer. Made from sustainably sourced wood & a bit of string, far from single use & powered by the cleanest of energy…you! Not got your hands on a Vevox Yo-Yo yet? Come over & speak to the Vevox team at Online Learning Consortium OLC Accelerate in Orlando this week to get one! #edtech #event #OLC #OLCAccelerate

This was a really great overview on what the Xbox Adaptive Controller can do! So many buttons and switches were shared...I know there's more great stuff at the Inclusive Tech Lab that could have been brought out. If only we had the time! Take a look at the recording, it's worth the it to get a peek at how we can design games with inclusion in mind. A Bryce overview is always worth it, promise! #a11y #AT #AccessibleGames #GameDesign

We held our first Assistive Tech Show-and-Tell, the other night. Many engaged people showed up and I hope it was informative. Links to resources and the recording are below. I'd love to get feedback or ideas of what we can cover in the future. Resources: https://lnkd.in/gDv8jQdR https://lnkd.in/gu26fZ5r

🎉 Had a blast being part of something special—an internal event for a well-known company where we got a bunch of smart folks together to show off some cool new tech products. It wasn't about any one person stealing the show. It was about all of us coming together, sharing ideas, and making these techy things really easy for people to get and enjoy. 🤝 We had these product owners from the company we were working for who knew their stuff inside out. With their help, we put together 15 demos and made 20 little videos that really showed what these products could do. And it was all about making sure the people who might want to use this tech felt like we were talking right to them. ✨ It's like when you throw a bunch of different ingredients in a pot and end up with an amazing stew—that's what this project was like. Everyone threw in a bit of what they were good at, and we ended up with something that wasn't just cool but also made sense to the folks it was meant for. 🎈 This kind of thing—where everyone's working together and the end result is something that really connects with people—is what makes working with tech so fun. It's not just about the gadgets; it's about the stories they tell and the people they help. #teamwork #funprojects #techforeveryone #storiesmatter
