I hope this gets to the executive team Bill Estes Automotive. My wife and girls were just involved in a car accident last week, our vehicle was totaled and we have been looking for another Explorer that is suitable to our needs. Guess what? We found one at Bill Estes Brownsburg. My wife spoke to @steven angle and @matt belano (Sales Mgr) yesterday in person and on the phone, they just got a trade in that fits our needs God is Good and exact match. They both told us that the 2017 Ford Explorer vehicle is currently getting cleaned up, they need to get pictures taken and uploaded, so no need to come in right now but they will call us immediately once it is ready!! Awesome news.. Well, apparently someone else was able to come in, look at it, make a deal, and finance it yesterday. So to say we are upset and the unsettling experience is an understatement. Wellington Group of Companies started a lane with a new customer yesterday. Bringing on a customer in this economic climate is no easy feat; our Business Development team did a great job. The Friday before this new lane started, I joined our VP of Ops (Matthew Russ) and one of our Professional Drivers to meet with the customer. We were able to tour their site, ask questions and truly understand the work that we would be doing. Yesterday, our Driver Recruitment/Retention Manager (Jessica Mata) joined our driver for the first day of this new business. This is an added level of support for our Driver, but also helps our recruitment team because she can see firsthand what goes into the job. This is the type of service and dedication that the Wellington team provides. I just turned down another offer to be a GM and go back to New England. You dont know what you got until it's gone, I guess...While this one was the most difficult to turn down, I have had more reasons to stay in SC spiritually and personally than professionally or financially. I'm not quite ready to give up on the Carolinas yet. Maybe soon, but not yet. This one was extremely appealing. Great owner(the best I know) with a fantastic business model. He listened to my suggestions when I was his GSM. I miss that open mind. We killed it consistently. We almost doubled units and profits in the first month together. We built growth and produced. I could not have done it without his confidence in me. Sometimes your hands are tied. You can only do so much without someone listening to your expertise I do find it awesome that my reputation in New England is still on fire! I've worked for nothing but liars, theives and/or unqualified people in the Carolinas. EXCLUDING where I am now. My current GM is Fantastic. About 8 months ago, when I was looking for a position, one GM told me his store was crushing it. A Hyundai store in Charlotte selling 150 units a month is not crushing it, at all. The place was a palace. Mindset is everything. Anyway, it seems like every 4-6 months I get a call. It's been 5 years since I have moved. I love my group of colleagues in New England. They are some of the most talented people in the industry that I have had the privilege to know. I miss my guys. Good solid honest people. Good things happen to good people!
