Starting on October 15, creators will be able to upload Shorts of up to 3 minutes. This gives more room for storytelling, allowing for deeper engagement and creativity. In addition to the longer formats, YouTube has introduced templates, making it easier to recreate and remix popular Shorts using existing videos, sounds, and clips. Another key highlight is the integration of Google DeepMind's Veo, which will allow creators to add enhanced video backgrounds and more immersive visuals.
