Happy to share our protocol for mapping physiological DSBs by in-suspension break labeling in situ and sequencing (sBLISS) published in cell press’ STAR Protocols. This protocol was used to study how transcriptional DSBs are formed, uncovering the important role of R-loops and TOP1cc in the formation of these critical DSBs. Check out our paper for more details on how this protocol was implemented: https://lnkd.in/dEutCSjb In this protocol, we explain in detail the step-by-step experimental procedure as well as the data analysis and dive into why we favored this method over others as well as its limitations. All thanks and gratefulness for our prof Rami Aqeilan for his endless opportunities, guidance, and supervision. Check out our protocol here: https://lnkd.in/dHK6SVv6

NEW #TheraSphere Data! Single-center data builds on previously published radiation segmentectomy studies #LEGACYstudy and #RASERstudy to demonstrate consistent outcomes with late first week/early second week dosing. The analysis of solitary #HCC patients treated with Therasphere explores the relationship between microsphere deposition and distribution and various outcomes following radiation segmentectomy. Signaling processes for Cell Selection, Cell Reselection, and PRACH (Physical Random Access Channel) Access : Cell Selection : 1. Initial cell selection during power-on or after losing coverage. 2. UE (User Equipment) searches for available cells. 3. UE selects the cell with the strongest signal (based on RSSI or RSRP). 4. No signaling exchange with the network. Signaling Process: UE → Cell Search → Cell Selection Cell Reselection : 1. UE evaluates neighboring cells while camped on a serving cell. 2. UE reselects a new cell based on better signal quality or load balancing. 3. No signaling exchange with the network. Signaling Process : UE → Neighbor Cell Measurement → Cell Reselection PRACH Access : 1. UE initiates access to the network (e.g., call setup, data transmission). 2. UE sends a PRACH preamble to the network. 3. Network responds with a Random Access Response (RAR). 4. UE sends a Scheduled Transmission (e.g., RRC Connection Request). Signaling Process : UE → PRACH Preamble → Network → RAR → UE → Scheduled Transmission Key differences : 1. Cell Selection: Initial cell selection, no signaling exchange. 2. Cell Reselection: UE-driven, no signaling exchange. 3. PRACH Access: UE-initiated, signaling exchange with the network.

In the latest July issue of the journal Neuron we show that molecular layer interneurons comprise two subtypes with distinct connectivity that are suited to serve different roles. MLI1s are electrically coupled, tend to fire synchronously, and preferentially inhibit Purkinje cells, whereas MLI2s are not electrically coupled, primarily inhibit MLI1s, and disinhibit Purkinje cells. link to paper: https://lnkd.in/dJWeN5Nc In this picture, MLIs light up in the cerebellar cortex revealing their cell bodies and processes surrounding Purkinje cells.
