Yams, starchier and earthier than a sweet potato, pair brilliantly with the meaty-rich taste of crimini mushrooms. This recipe has a seasonal flare with a dash of warm cinnamon and the bright resinous taste of rosemary. This dish will warm and satisfy your stomach while lending you a restful ease of mind. The warmth of the cinnamon will spread from your stomach to your skin, making you feel cozy. Pile this over rice for a heartier feel or scoop it onto a piece of thinly sliced bread, perfectly toasted, for a lighter bite. There, I said it out loud- You can mix fruit and dairy. While we have been consuming fruit and dairy for ages, recent claims by some Ayurved fans/influencers have created alot of food fear around fruit and dairy. So here are my 2 cents: I understand Ayurved. I also am trained in ayurvedic diet and I have immense respect for ayurved practitioners. Their recommendations are often based on a lot of factors ( your prakriti, aahar, dinacharya etc). So if your ayurvedic practitioner says avoid mixing these two ingredients, avoid it. It's for your own good but also make sure to implement all the other dietary and lifestyle changes they recommend along with the medicines. From a modern nutrition perspective, there is limited research to back the claims that combining dairy and fruit is harmful. So in case you enjoy it and don't have digestive issues or health issues/goal where you have been asked to avoid it. You can have it but in moderation. Note: Avoid mixing citric fruits with milk. Do you have anymore of such food fears/doubts? #FruitConfusion #fruitanddairy #fruitandmilk #eatright #knowwhatyouhave #foodfears #nutritionistatwork #nutritionistaditiprabhu

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 "𝐍𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐋𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞" The journey of motherhood begins with the first heartbeat, but the foundation is laid much earlier—through nutrition. In modern science, we know that a balanced diet rich in folic acid, iron, and calcium is essential. Ayurveda emphasizes Garbhasthapana (nurturing the womb) with food. "हृद्यं द्रवं मधुर प्रायं स्निग्धं दीपनीय संस्कृतम् च भोजन भोजयेत्॥ सु. शा. १०/३" 🍶𝑺𝒏𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒅𝒉𝒂 (𝑼𝒏𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒐𝒅) - Mainly food like milk, ghee, coconut not only give nourishment also create stability. All these have Bruhana quality which is important in 1st trimester. Also ghee can help to better absorption of fat soluble vitamins. 🥛𝑴𝒂𝒅𝒉𝒖𝒓 (𝑺𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒕)- Milk, milk products, almond milk are naturally energy boosters. 🧄 𝑫𝒆𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒚𝒂 (𝑫𝒊𝒈𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆)- Spices like jeera, asafoetida, ajwain helps in better digestion, reduce bloating. 🍲 𝑺𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒌𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒎 ( 𝑾𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅)- Well cooked food, include proper spices and use of proper Utensils is very essential. 😊 𝑯𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒚𝒂𝒎 (𝑺𝒖𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆))- Many women face morning sickness but if you can include food you like in your diet can help you to cope with morning sickness. Also Amla (sour) food is called hridya in ayurved so you can include lime, kokam in some form. Together, they ensure that every cell is nourished, every heartbeat is strong. 💛 You can always consult with your doctor, nutritionist or coach about your diet.
