🌱 Just wrapped up my first experience at PackExpo in Philadelphia, and what an incredible journey it's been! As a startup venturing into the US market for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm reception and interest people showed towards our PapairWrap, the bubblewrap made of 100% paper. Especially how many people already knew our product. Here are my three key takeaways: 👉 The US market is actively seeking sustainable packaging solutions and is receptive to innovation in this space. Exciting opportunities lie ahead for eco-friendly alternatives like ours. 👉 It was a fantastic opportunity to expand our network in the US. Met some incredible individuals and companies, and I'm excited about the potential collaborations on the horizon. 👉 Learned firsthand that what works in Europe may not necessarily translate to success in American markets. A recent episode of my favorite podcast, Freakonomics, explored a paradox in the energy transition: investing solely in low-carbon companies while neglecting traditional sectors like oil and gas may actually slow our progress towards sustainability. The episode (link in comments) argues that a significant portion of carbon emissions comes from a limited number of sectors. By investing in these sectors to make them more efficient and less carbon-intensive, we can achieve a greater overall reduction in global emissions. This concept fuels my passion for what we do at Dril-Quip. Our e-series products are designed to make a significant impact by reducing the carbon footprint of oil and gas operations. By minimizing trips and cutting down installation times, we not only improve the economics but also the environmental impact of our customers' operations. This is how we contribute to a more sustainable energy future.

Together, we explored best practices, creative problem-solving techniques, and actionable insights to help shape the future of glass packaging.
