🐙 This week we have... Worked on new things... ⚙️ Getting in place all of the behind the scenes "stuff" to onboard not one but two new clients 💡 Setting goals for a new project so that everyone knows what good looks like ↔️ Giving regular feedback at the start of a new campaign so we can make sure that we are meeting expectations 🤔 Signposting something that doesn't feel quite right so that we can work out how to do things differently to make sure we get the right results 💬 Talking to our clients - taking the time to get to know them and their businesses is key 💻 Looking at a new project for an existing client and scoping out what is needed to make it work 🗽 Pulling together whilst Sarah was away - our holidays don't impact our clients and we make it work 🤝 Liaising with a partner to bring to life something exciting next week that we cannot wait to share #watchthisspace There is always lots going on, and no two weeks are ever the same - but the one thing that remains constant; we love what we do and being able to help our clients! Have a great weekend - the Octopus team! 🐙 #JugglingOctopus #BusinessSupport #VirtualAssistant #ThisWeekWeHave #BusyTimes #LoveWhatWeDo

🐙 This week we have... Done things our way (ok, we're borrowing from our Director Sarah Moore's post - but it's true, and we wanted to share!) But what does this actually mean... We have; 🐙 Taken the time to go through the incredible job applications we received - it's slower to look properly, but people have taken the time to apply and we want to take the time to review them 🐙 Worked hours for clients from 5am - 10pm - because that's what was needed and so we adapt and adjust and use the team and our skills to provide what is needed. It's also why we can write and post this on a Saturday without using scheduling tools or any such thing! 🐙 Communicated regularly and laughed lots - it's been a busy week but we don't lose sight of what we're doing or let it stress us out 🐙 Made suggestions to clients where a campaign just doesn't feel "right" - we could have just continued with what we were asked to do, but instead we made suggestions for change - and they loved them 🐙 Done the same task for 3 clients in 3 very different ways; because we are an extension of YOUR business and not the other way round 🐙 Explored new things - we don't sit still and rest on our laurels; we always want to look at what we can do more effectively 🐙 Been flexible and adaptable - we don't just follow rigid structure, because it doesn't work for our clients, and it doesn't work for our lives - we do the right things at the right time, and finally... 🐙 We've achieved our success together. This is a team and the work that we do for our clients is as part of their team. It's been an incredible week, and it's not over yet. If you'd like for you and your business to be part of what we're doing then get in touch; we'd love to chat! Happy weekend all 🐙 #JugglingOctopus #BusinessSupport #VirtualAssistant #DoingThingsOurWay #FlexibleWorking #ThisWeekWeHave

We started the 1st full week of back to school & new routines in our house this morning! Earlier get-ups and quick morning turn-arounds got me thinking; what makes this work smoothly & successfully for us? 2 things came to mind - Organisation & Teamwork. Unless we're organised our new routines end up in complete chaos & it takes teamwork, it's not a solo effort. Sometimes we need help from other people to make it happen! As a Virtual Assistant, I can help you make things happen in your business. Helping you get organised with your administrative load, taking some of the tasks from your ever-growing to do-list, together as a team we can make your working life run smoother and be even more successful! Get in touch to find out more about how I can help you optimise your time and be your trustworthy time saver. Together we can achieve more!

🎯 Midweek Fun: Let’s Play "Would You Rather" - Business Edition! Hey LinkedIn fam, it's time for a little fun to get us through the middle of the week! Let's play a quick game of "Would You Rather" - but with a business twist! Drop your answers in the comments and let's see who you are at work!👇👇 ❓ Would You Rather... 1️⃣ Always have to attend 10 back-to-back meetings in one day OR work on one massive project alone for 10 hours straight? 2️⃣ Be able to work remotely from anywhere (yes, even the beach) OR have unlimited vacation days (but you can't work remotely)? 3️⃣ Never get another email but have to make all your work decisions via video calls OR get all your work done via emails but never attend a meeting again? 4️⃣ Lead a startup where you wear 10 hats OR be a key player in a massive corporation with a clear structure and process? 🌟 This is a judgment-free zone — no answer is right or wrong! Let’s see how different (or similar) we all are when it comes to our work styles and preferences. Looking forward to some fun replies! 🚀

TGIF! Wrapping Up Another Productive Week 🎉💻 As a Virtual Assistant, I love Fridays because they give me a chance to reflect on the week’s wins and set up for the week ahead. This week was packed with project milestones, inbox management, and some strategic planning for clients—each task is another step toward supporting their goals! Here are my Friday wrap-up rituals that help me stay organized and ready for a fresh start on Monday: 🔹 Weekly Recap Emails: I send out a summary of completed tasks, updates, and any pending items to keep clients in the loop and close the week strong. 🔹 Task Prioritization: Before signing off, I review upcoming projects and prioritize tasks for next week, ensuring I stay on track with all deadlines. 🔹 Celebrating Small Wins: Reflecting on the week’s achievements, no matter how small, keeps me motivated and ready to dive back in! To all my fellow VAs and busy professionals out there—cheers to the weekend! Take time to recharge, and let’s come back next week ready to conquer more goals. 🌟 #TGIF #VirtualAssistant #Productivity #WeeklyReflection #ReadyForMonday"

Where the Work Happens Without the Applause ✨ In the world of back-office support, it’s easy to go unnoticed. But just because the work isn’t always in the spotlight doesn’t mean it lacks purpose. Every report finalised, every system fine-tuned, every piece of data sorted it all matters. Behind the scenes is where we build the foundation that allows the entire team to succeed. To me, this role is about more than just numbers or process improvements. It’s about making work easier and better for everyone else so they can thrive. In the end, the best reward is knowing the impact, even if it’s mostly felt, not seen. I’d love to connect with others who also take pride in the details, the systems, and the seamless “backstage” moments that keep everything moving forward. Let’s celebrate the work that often goes unrecognised but is always essential. #BackOfficeStrength #InvisibleHeroes #SupportingSuccess #WorkplaceEfficiency #BehindTheScenes #LinkedInNetwork

Mid-October already! In my experience, things can get a bit “silly” at this time of year as we head down the slippery slope to our summer breaks… 🍄 people can get a bit prickly, and small things can “mushroom” into bigger things 🧹 teams find themselves under pressure to “clean” everything up before the end of the year - people problems, projects, loose ends. ⏰ we can lose sense of time and how much we can really achieve in that last run before offices start closing and the dress shoes are swapped for jandals 🩴 If you or your team are experiencing any of these things, and need some extra support to resolve issues or close out some projects - reach out! Imagine the feeling of closing the laptop for 2024 knowing those things on your “to do” list today are ticked off! I can help you achieve that feeling. Let’s get everyone the summer break they deserve ☀️

✨ This month, on Friday, I’ll share my ‘Good Vibe of the Week’, as a positive end to the week! 😊 For this week, it’s about meeting new, kind and amazingly talented people! 🖖 A few weeks ago, I joined asynco.org, a community set up by Luis Suarez and Cathryn Barnard 🌔, designed to connect people who want to make the world of work a better place, specifically the world of work that doesn’t necessarily take place in an office between 9am and 5pm. The community is still growing, but so far it has already been quality over quantity. One of the highlights of my week was my virtual coffee with the lovely Beth Salyers, Ph.D. on Wednesday afternoon, who is based in New Orleans in the USA, and what for me was the end of the working day, was her start of the day! No matter how much I embrace global working, that will never cease to amaze me! We had never met before, but when she joined Asynco, she extended a general invitation to the community for her ‘100 Convos in August Challenge’, and trying to be a bit more ‘adventurous’ when it comes to meeting people, I decided to book a Convo in! Even though I love meeting with and talking to people about anything cool, nice and exciting, it's always difficult for me to take that first step with someone you've NEVER met (IRL or Online), but from the first minute it felt like we had already talked many times before, and hopefully there are more times to come! We talked about anything from learning and development to attitudes to work, and from growing hops to memes on the internet, and would you believe that even the latter were actually related to how we experience the workplace, what we want to do in our day jobs to facilitate the things that we love doing outside of work? The conversation is certainly going to continue, and who knows where this goes in terms of shared learning, collaboration and… more good vibes! #GoodVibes #GoodVibeOfTheWeek #Collaboration #Community #DigitalCommunity #KnowledgeSharing #LearningAndDevelopment
