What's up y'all? Welcome back to Week Shoot Films. Just wanted to show you that this boom arm right here, this piece of equipment is amazing. You could do a lot of things with this, but mostly I use it not just the old of my lights, but to create cinematic movements like this. Alright, so check this out. This is a boom arm. OK, now this thing weighs a little over 9 lbs, something like that. And it's just an amazing piece of equipment, not just to hold up your light, so your soft boxes or whatever, but to create some great. Are crane like movements, you know what I'm saying and it's easy to put away packs up small and extends out. So let's let's just want to show you how I created that movement. So we're going to use this along with the amazing ZU center pier rebel 3E. This gimbal amazing gimbal, you know small but can carry a good payload and the charge on this thing is amazing. I did a full 8 hours. And still it didn't die yet and I still got battery life you feel me? So all we do is take this and connect it. U here tying it down. Alright. Now we need this piece here. I'm going to grab this this little connection adapter piece. We need this. Very important. Alright, now I got this piece here. Not to screw to the the quarter 20 and we just gonna connect that I already balanced this gimbal. So remember when you got balance your gimbals, make sure everything that you need is on the camera. If you're going to add any filter, make sure it's on it already. You're going to have your viewer out. Make sure it's out before you balance. OK, this is already been balanced. Like I said, this is the center pier. We will 3E's amazing. And make sure this is nice and tight on there. Alright, that that doesn't matter. You don't want this to not be tight. Then you're going to take this and we can extend this to go right here. And we extend it now. You don't want to extend this all the way out. Give it a little bit so that it don't drag, alright, and lock it in. And we're gonna it depends on how you want to put it. Alright, I'm gonna have it. I'm going to have it where it's upside down, Sodom. So what I'm gonna do is go like this, you feel me? And then I'm going to attach this to this. But that. There's a few ways you could do it, but that's how I'm doing it, man. I got set. Make sure it's nice and tight. You don't want nothing happening. So I see now it wants to fall over, not you. You should make sure that you're. On AC stand, let your leg is out pointing out in the same direction. That'll help it too. But you always need a sandbag for this. Not just for safety, but there's an actual use for it alright. Get your sand back. Put it on. Now the sandbag helps to balance it out. There's a proper way of doing this, and there's technically an improper way. The proper way is to balance it, so I should be able to untighten this and see how it went all the way high because it's not balanced now if I bring this out more. Then you try to balance it. Move to bring this handsome. Listen, we want. This comes out more but I'm just showing you. So this needs to be in a little bit more or out a little bit more, I mean. That's properly pretty much balanced, just like a gimbal, you know, take your time with it. Because the idea is, if it's balanced pretty much on its own, this isn't tight at all. This. It's not even holding it all right, but it's easier to do nice smooth, fluid movements because it's balanced. You see what I'm saying? So you create all these movements. Because it's balanced, you feel me? So this is also how you can use this to create some beautiful cinematic shots from way up to the in the sky. And again, these students can they can go out way more. I just doing it like this for the moment. But again, this is with it being pretty much balanced. Now if you need more stretch, obviously you can't balance or if you need it longer, technically, if you still want it balanced, make sure to add more weight in the back to balance it off. All right, But this can't go further out. There you go. And then this right here, once you tighten this, this thing is not going anywhere. It's very strong. This is made out of like aluminum, steel alloy or something like that. It's very strong, dependable, had it for a while, it's not doing nothing. So there you go, just simple as that. And that can create an amazing shot, give you a lot of production value just in doing this. And again, I use the center Pier Rebel 3E. I have another crane. I mean, have another gimbal, but I like this one because it's small. Reliable packs up fast, but the char and it keeps a heavy payload and the charge is crazy it lasts all day long straight up so it's an amazing thing so again that's all just wanted to show you this little thing nothing crazy you know what I mean and there you go and when you finished you know you you drop you take it all down break it down it breaks down small and you're able to bounce and. Go to your next scene or you know it doesn't take forever. You know what I mean like a conventional crane usually does this does the same thing pretty much and if you need to control this reboot. It's also connects to your phone. So even if I have it up in the sky, I can control it with my phone remotely and then check out the FX30 on the monitor, you know from blue Bluetooth, so you can still see everything you need to see you feel me so that's it this is we shoot.
