👏🏽The idea of patiently waiting for recognition as a woman in the workplace, is being challenged by new thinking that encourages women to ‘f*ck being humble’ or ‘ ensure that you are recognised’. 👏🏽 It offers some food for thought in workplace’s aiming to create greater gender equity. As highlighting your own value add can often challenge the subliminal gender stereotypes of appropriate workplace behaviour for the ladies. 👀 Credit - badassboz and msrachelhollis on Instagram #womenatwork #womenwholead #femaleleaders #genderequity #edi #diverseteams #womenintech #changemanagement #businessdevelopment #digitaltransformation Kanika S.

No (good) surprises there! Hardly any change in gender equality in Swiss companies. The women's share in management is advancing at a snail's pace 🐌 : 1% per year ⁉ As the latest Gender Intelligence Report unveiled today in Zürich by Advance – Gender Equality in Business and Competence Centre for Diversity & Inclusion (CCDI-FIM) - University of St.Gallen (HSG) points out: ⚠️ Women still account for less than a quarter of top management positions in Swiss business, although they represent almost half of the non-management workforce. The good news is that we're not going backwards. The bad news is that we're not moving forward. 🙃 So roll up our sleeves, Career Women's Forum, The A Effect, impactIA Foundation, we've still lots of work to do! #GenderEquality #Parity #Inclusion #WomenOnBoards

Encompass Equality's 2023 report on why women leave their employers validated a thought I've had for years: achieving gender parity requires organizations to take a hard look at themselves and their culture and figure out what is preventing women from staying. The problem isn't the women! For example, an astounding 82% of women (from a sample of ~4,000) said that the support they get from their line manager has a "huge" or "significant" impact on whether they choose to stay or leave. Of course, addressing organizational issues is no small feat, but doing so could bring us much closer to---and sustain---gender parity. https://lnkd.in/guy4Q2s3 #genderparity #thoughtleadership #womenatwork

Experts believe men need to be allies to women in the workplace 👫 🗣 “It means proactively upholding gender #equality and counteracting unconscious gender bias so women can have equal opportunities to thrive in the workplace.” Consider this a call to arms 💪🏻 It might not always be easy, but, it delivers some pretty powerful outcomes 👉🏻 https://bit.ly/3Io14cz 🗣 “Women who have the backing of loyal allies at work feel a greater sense of inclusion, and bring more energy and enthusiasm to the role. This benefits everyone regardless of gender, and helps companies build more productive teams” #InternationalWomensDay #WorkplaceCulture #WomensHistoryMonth
