Role & Responsibilities
Leadership: A TL is responsible for providing leadership to their team. This includes setting a positive example, motivating team members, and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Team Management: TLs oversee the day-to-day operations of their team. This involves delegating tasks, managing workloads, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Performance Management: TLs are tasked with evaluating the performance of their team members. This includes providing feedback, conducting performance reviews, and identifying areas for improvement.
Training and Development: TLs play a key role in the training and development of their team members. This may involve providing on-the-job training, organizing workshops or seminars, and encouraging professional growth and development.
Communication: Effective communication is essential for team success, and TLs are responsible for facilitating communication within their team. This includes communicating goals and objectives, providing updates on projects, and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
Conflict Resolution: TLs are often called upon to resolve conflicts and disputes within their team. This requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to mediate disagreements in a fair and impartial manner.
Decision Making: TLs are involved in decision-making processes that affect their team. This may include setting priorities, allocating resources, and resolving issues or conflicts that arise during the course of a project.
Relationship Building: TLs are responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with team members, colleagues, and stakeholders. This involves fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment where everyone feels valued and respected.
Problem Solving: TLs must be able to identify problems and find creative solutions to overcome them. This may involve brainstorming sessions, root cause analysis, and collaboration with team members to find the best way forward.
Project Management: Depending on the nature of the team's work, TLs may also be responsible for project management tasks such as planning, scheduling, and tracking progress towards milestones and deliverables.
