Excited to announce our latest research endeavor with Mathieu Laruelle and Maxime Le Floch, as part of our Master 1 project with GINJER AM and ESILV - Ecole Supérieure d'Ingénieurs Léonard de Vinci. Our goal was to unravel the mysteries behind the behavior of the king of cryptocurrency. We dissected 60+ datasets from Bloomberg and Coin Metrics, leveraging state-of-the-art machine learning algorithm to predict Bitcoin's returns (Sep 2014 - Dec 2023). Our findings uncovered pivotal performance indicators, shaping a dynamic investment strategy. By confirming causal relationships akin to Granger causality between key features and Bitcoin's returns, we empower investors to mitigate volatility while capturing market opportunities in three different investment strategies. There are a lot of things I think are as hard as Further Mathematics and a typical example is Cryptocurrency. I'll be honest I've never been a fan of cryptocurrency. The thought of even learning it has always gotten me anxious because I feel like I will probably not understand. But, I know that understanding crypto is becoming increasingly important in today's world. That's why when I heard about the class on cryptocurrency I thought it would be a good way for me to pick up understanding cryptocurrencies as a beginner. I'm excited to introduce an upcoming class, where we'll break down the basics of cryptocurrency in a way that's easy to understand, even if you're a complete beginner like me.
