🚗 𝐇𝐲𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐢’𝐬 𝐞-𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 – 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐫 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠? 🤔 I first saw Hyundai’s e-Corner System during its debut at CES. Since then, it has been showcased at many exhibitions around the world. And just recently, I spotted a test vehicle equipped with the e-Corner system on a proving ground near Seoul. Seeing it in action was impressive. However, as remarkable as it is, does the average driver actually need to move sideways or spin in place? While this innovation might be useful in dense urban environments, I wonder if Hyundai Motor Company (현대자동차) is addressing real-world problems or creating solutions in search of one. 🤷♂️ Additionally, integrating all these systems into the wheels could raise concerns about reliability and maintenance costs in the long run. Is this innovation for the sake of innovation, or are we looking at a true mobility breakthrough? I'd love to hear your thoughts. When it comes to #AutonomousDriving, China is taking a different approach compared to the U.S., where the focus is on fully autonomous robo-taxis. In China, companies are going all out to deliver mass-produced EVs with L2++ and L3-level self-driving systems. In this video, I showcase the 2024 AITO M5 RS, co-developed by Huawei and SERES AUTO, running the latest Huawei ADS 2.0 self-driving software. Overall, the driving experience with ADS 2.0 is solid, though there’s still room for improvement. Huawei and Momenta are considered China's top two autonomous driving companies, both racing to deliver cutting-edge self-driving software powered by end-to-end algorithms to compete head-to-head with Tesla's FSD v12. I'm especially excited for the September rollout of Huawei ADS 3.0. Richard Yu, Chairman of Huawei Automotive BU, has promised that all #HIMA vehicles will be upgraded with ADS 3.0, which I hope will bring even smoother self-driving experiences, particularly in urban areas.
