🎙️For anyone thinking of launching a podcast next year... here is how my launch went. I have heard a few people throw around the idea of "launching a podcast". I felt it relevant to share my own experience. Here are some things to consider before embarking on the project. 📆 It took me a full year from conception to launch. Yup, it is a LOT of prep time. 🏆I hosted a podcast launch contest to help build excitement around the launch (Thanks Dana Snyder for the idea!), which helped me get to the #2 nonprofit podcast spot in my first week! 💸I spent well over 3000$ in tech and investments around the podcast: Riverside as my recording platform, Buzzsprout as my host, Castmagic as my AI Tool, my microphone and stand, gifts for the contest, editing costs, marketing costs... etc. This doesn't take into consideration the COUNTLESS HOURS spent on the project. 👩💻I had the pleasure of publishing 17 episodes with incredible guests and already have 8 more lined up for 2025! 🗺️The podcast was listened to in 46 countries, and 328 cities around the world! 🎧 My episodes were listened to over 1300 times, that would make quite a full room! The podcast is more about showcasing more stories of interconnection, meeting inspiring people, and showcasing my expertise as a nonprofit professional. This is a labor of love 🤍 Thank you to everyone who made this possible, a special shout out to my husband Lex Lacefield for editing my episodes with so much love and being a guiding force every step of the way, and to Samantha, my marketing queen for helping me get this out into the world! Are there any other questions you have around launching a podcast? Shoot them in the comments and I'll give you my honest advice! #Podcast #NonprofitPodcast #Launch #PodcastAdvice

4 years ago, I decided to start a video podcast. 2 reasons, 2 learnings. 1. Could I get us more business. We were an upstart saas business, and I wanted to breakthrough the marketing fakeness and talk to real people about real stuff. 2. I wanted to learn from the experiences of others who were, let’s face it, way better and way smarter than me. 😒🙂↕️ Anyway. I wanted to talk, with, well anyone! The founder. The charity organiser. The student. The dreamer. And I was lucky enough to connect with a bunch of all of the above. I chatted with incredibly interesting and quirky people, shared great stories. I also grew awareness with my business. Fast forward to today. (what feels like 6000 years later!) I miss those conversations, those moments, the human story. So, now I’m pondering. What if I started it again. Talking, sharing and listening to people on a new topic. Did you quit or get fired? No plan / planned or it just happened. Why!? What did you learn? What did you change? It’s most people’s nightmare. Yet, I’m betting if you’re reading this, you’ve experienced it. So, if you made it this far, firstly, cheers. Let me know if you’d be interested in sharing a story, on a nice podcast with tea and a fireplace. Please share with anyone that would connect or share. It could be worth a try.

Love stories, websites, solopreneurship. Ezekiel Rochat was generous enough to join me on Solopreneur Stories to share his journey into solopreneurship and the work he does as a website creator and strategist. We dive into topics including: 💖 How the origins of his career include a love story 🧠 The psychology of personal branding 🎯 Niching through experiencing, learning, and adapting 📊 Determining the right amount of clients and projects And other topics. What I love about this episode is how measured and considered Ezekiel is when exploring some of these topics. What's so important about long-form content is that it allows information to be processed with more context and, therefore, more meaning. I'm often left frustrated by just how much meaning short-form content omits, either unintentionally or deliberately. This episode was a nice antidote to that. And it felt good to shave off the layers of some of the advice and hot takes you may be all too familiar with that reliably make the rounds on social media. It was nuanced, and informative, and practical, and fun. And now it's available for you 😎 Give it a listen, share what you think, and have a great day ✌️ 🎧 You can listen to our full episode here: https://lnkd.in/eXAV4eww 💪 ***** Are you running your own operation and interested in being featured as a guest on the podcast? I'd love to hear from you - please shoot me a note. Know someone in your network who might be a good fit to hear these episodes or be featured? Comment below and tag them in. Even if I work really hard at my job, my firm will let me go. It doesn't really matter how many years I work there. It doesn’t really matter whether I am a top performer or not. What matters is that I didn’t fit their org re-model or revenue goals. This is to show that nothing is “secure”. Not even your 9-5. This is why I started working on my side-hustle despite people saying business is risky. Yes, a business is risky. But so is a 9-5. Why wait till you get laid off to start building a “personal brand”. ------ Ready for your podcast to meet the world? Watch the free training video on my LinkedIn profile. Hi, I am Mahrukh and I help ambitious side-hustlers and busy solopreneurs launch a podcast in a fun, easy, and stress-free way! #podcast #sidehustler #podcastcoach

❓ Ready to share your voice with the world? Discover why starting a podcast is an exciting and rewarding journey. Let's explore the benefits and get you started! 🎙 A few years back in the COVID time I also started a podcast, through which I got to meet a lot of influential content creators in our country. So let me tell you the benefits of starting a podcast from my experience ↳ Share Your Passion: Podcasts offer a platform to share your knowledge, expertise, and unique perspective on a topic you love. ↳ Build Your Brand: A podcast can help you establish yourself as an authority in your field and build a loyal following. ↳ Connect with Like-Minded People: Podcasts provide a space to connect with people who share your interests and build a community. ↳ Monetization Opportunities: Podcasts can generate revenue through advertising, sponsorships, and merchandise sales. ↳ Flexibility and Convenience: Podcasts can be recorded and listened to on your own schedule, making them a flexible and convenient way to create content. ↳ Personal Growth: Starting a podcast can be a rewarding personal growth experience, helping you develop new skills and challenge yourself. 🤔 I think it is beneficial especially if you are an entrepreneur: Personal Branding: A podcast is a powerful tool for personal branding. By consistently sharing your thoughts and expertise, you can establish yourself as a thought leader in your industry. Networking Opportunities: Podcasts can connect you with other industry professionals, potential clients, and collaborators. This can lead to valuable networking opportunities and partnerships. Increased Visibility: Podcasts can help you reach a wider audience and increase your visibility online. This can be beneficial for founders looking to promote their business or attract investors. Credibility and Authority: Regularly producing high-quality content can help you build credibility and establish yourself as an authority in your field. This can be especially valuable for founders who are trying to build trust with their target audience. You may wonder that it is a lot of tasks from recording a video to editing and publishing it properly to reach the maximum audience. You are right but I'm here to help if you want to start... 😊 📥 DM me "PODCAST" & I will let you know how ♻ repost this if you agree. #podcast #podcaststart #podcastlife #podcasters #podcastcommunity #podcasting

The biggest mistake business owners make with their personal brand: They post and forget. Or they focus on just one thing. Remember, there's no quick fix pill. You will not build a personal brand in 2 weeks. If someone promises you that.. run. You need to understand it's an ecosystem. Take LinkedIn - it's a tool, yes. But there's more going on behind the scenes. For example, we do heaps of research for ourselves and our clients. We get to know each industry inside out. We understand your audience's journey. What's our ecosystem? LinkedIn. Newsletters. Podcasts. Not because it's 'right'. But because it's working for us. What's your ecosystem? 👇
