Which Brands Commit to Animal-Friendly Fashion? Now You Know from Our #WearItKind Directory! 🐾 Animal-progressive fashion brands The North Face, icebreaker, AllSaints, Columbia Sportswear Company, and Reformation use wool that is live lamb cut-free, and overall 54% of brands have made a timebound commitment to end their use of lamb cut wool. 🐑✂️🩸 The majority of brands (82%) have declared a ban of fur, however there are still some brands who haven’t made a public statement on this such as #Allbirds, #EddieBauer, #Lululemon, #OffWhite and #Reebok. Although most brands (63%) have taken some action on live plucking, and utilise certified supply chains, these certifications don’t robustly cover parent farms where there is a high risk of live plucking. Brands would need to take extra steps like Fjällräven and Patagonia do or opt for recycled and animal-free alternatives like Esprit, Napapijri, G-Star RAW, Everlane, Boden, and Closed GmbH have. 🪶 Overall to achieve animal welfare and environmental protection goals, we need more brands to make clear commitments to reduce their use of animal-derived materials (ADMs) such as pioneering brand Ganni A/S and SPELL. Ensuring good animal welfare is central to any socially responsible and ethical business. The #WearItKind Directory provides shoppers with information about a brand’s level of action and commitment in relation to its fur use, avoidance of live lamb cutting (mulesing) as well as live plucking for down, and reduction of ADMs. ⬇️ We aim to encourage brands to achieve lasting change for animals in fashion supply chains. Join us in championing animal-friendly fashion and check out and share our directory today: https://lnkd.in/dxFS7k_B #ADM #WearItKind #AnimalWelfare #AnimalFriendlyFashion #Fashion

🌟 Pets Are the New Fashion Icons! 🐾👗 I recently saw Benetton Group's new pet clothing line and it got me thinking about the booming pet fashion market. In 2023, the global pet clothing market was valued at USD 5.56 billion, with projections to reach USD 8.97 billion by 2032—growing at a CAGR of 5.6%. North America currently leads the market, holding a 33.63% share. The rise of pet fashion reflects a fascinating trend: the humanization of pets. As Psychology Today notes, we increasingly treat our pets as family members, even projecting human traits onto them. This emotional bond drives demand for stylish pet apparel that mirrors our own personal tastes. The market is filled with big brands like H&M, Zara, and Bershka, who’ve launched pet lines, as well as specialized brands like Chewy, Petco, The Foggy Dog, and Bitch New York, offering everything from cozy sweaters to luxury pet fashion. As this space continues to grow, there’s huge potential for innovation and connection between brands and consumers. Fashion for pets is no longer just a trend; it’s a movement. What’s your take on the growing pet fashion industry? Any favorite brands or trends? #MarketingTrends #BusinessOpportunity #PetLovers #Fashion #Retail

At Pet Set Go, it goes beyond the 'aww' factor for us. Our pet apparel and accessories are much more than just aesthetics, and that's where our precision comes in. One often overlooked aspect of dog clothing is proper sizing. Ill-fitting garments can restrict movement, cause chafing, or even become a safety hazard. That's why Pet Set Go takes a data-driven approach to sizing. We leverage a comprehensive breed size database, alongside real-world testing with various dog models, to develop a size range (14-30) that caters to the diverse body types across breeds. This meticulous approach ensures a perfect fit for every pup, it allows for optimal comfort during playtime, provides proper coverage in functional garments like winter jackets, and guarantees a stylish look that complements their unique build. #DogApparelScience #PetSetGo #CanineComfort #PrecisionSizing #FunctionalFashion #PetIndustry #PetBusiness #DogSizes #B2C #Entrepreneurs #PetBrand #DogBreeds #SizingMatters

Such cruelty....just to make some profits. Do you think, it's justified. Making profits at the cost of someone's life. We say life is precious, but is this statement limited to human beings only or personal life ?🧐 and rest all creatures'life are just for human beings consumption? 😔 But such cruelty can't be stopped as long as there is demand.🫣 If you accede and second, then see how you can do your bit. 💪 #ClimateChange #Environment #Leather #Cruelty

🌱 Innovating Fashion with Sustainability: Repurposing Dog Hair from Grooming Salons 🧶 Have you ever considered that the hair left behind after your dog’s grooming session could be used for something more? Instead of ending up in landfills, dog hair can actually be spun into yarn and used to create sustainable, eco-friendly clothing! 🐕✨ Using dog and animal hair from grooming salons presents a unique opportunity for the fashion industry to reduce waste and embrace cruelty-free, ethical practices. Much like wool, dog hair from breeds with long, fluffy coats—like Samoyeds and Huskies—can be cleaned, processed, and spun into warm, soft yarn. This yarn can then be used to knit or weave scarves, sweaters, and more, offering an environmentally friendly alternative to synthetic fibers like polyester. 🌿 Why it Matters: Sustainability: Repurposing discarded hair reduces the environmental impact of the fashion industry. Eco-Friendly Fashion: Using natural resources in innovative ways helps lower our reliance on non-renewable materials. Ethical: This process is cruelty-free and avoids the ethical issues surrounding traditional fur production. While there are challenges like public perception and potential allergies, this idea taps into the growing trend of sustainable fashion and conscious consumerism. Imagine having a scarf made from your own pet’s fur—functional and sentimental! 💡 It’s time to rethink waste and innovate for a greener future. Who else is excited about the potential of turning dog hair into fashion? #SustainableFashion #Innovation #EcoFriendly #WasteReduction #DogLovers #CircularEconomy #Sustainability #FashionTech
