Bring your tribe together to create a shared experience. You don’t need to be a hopeless romantic to love traditions. I was never into Halloween, but since moving to Sleepy Hollow, I have become a lover of the holiday. Once a year, the entire town becomes the regional Halloween epicenter, with a month-long celebration featuring ghost stories, haunted houses, and graveyard tours. People from around the country (yes, really) descend on the town to celebrate. The celebration culminates with this parade. I love how this tradition brings people together, and I think about how to use it for inspiration in business. Most organizations have traditions, and it’s powerful to bring people together to celebrate a shared experience. From Thanksgiving dinners and holiday parties to annual picnics and days of service, traditions have the power to remind people what’s special about the tribe they have chosen to join. As you look toward the year ahead, be sure to allocate resources to celebrating together as a team. If you don’t have a tradition, make one up. It could become one of the things that builds community for years to come. Happy Halloween! 🔸 Let’s help narrow the gap between your goals and your ability to achieve them. Confession: I used to roll my eyes at "gratitude practices." Seemed fluffy. Unrealistic. Then 2020 happened. My career floundered. My (newly launched) business struggled. Anxiety peaked. I needed a lifeline. So I reluctantly tried the "3 Good Things" exercise. Every night, I'd write down 3 positives, no matter how small. Week 1: Felt forced. Week 2: Started noticing more good around me. Week 3: My entire outlook shifted. Science backs this up. According to the Mental Health First Aid program, those who practice gratitude are more optimistic and have better relationships. As a Human Design and Positive Intelligence coach, I now see: Gratitude isn't ignoring problems. It's building resilience to face them. In recognition of Thanksgiving, I challenge you: Try "3 Good Things" for 21 days. It might just change your life. Who's in? #GratitudeChallenge #ResilienceBuilding
Expressing gratitude towards others is a powerful act of kindness that can have a profound impact on their lives. While we might not always seek appreciation, it undeniably feels amazing when we receive it. 🙌 When someone takes a moment to recognize our efforts, appreciate our unique qualities, or acknowledge our abilities, it serves as a reminder that we are making a positive difference in the world around us. 💫 What will you do TODAY to show gratitude to someone? Whether it's your supportive friend or co-worker, the dedicated mail delivery or local UPS driver, or the hardworking server at your favorite restaurant, a small gesture can go a long way in making someone's day brighter. Let's spread kindness and make someone's day a little brighter. ☀️ #Gratitude #KindnessMatters #SpreadJoy

As we prepare for Thanksgiving tomorrow, I'm reminded of how easy it is to get caught up in the "trappings" – the perfect turkey, elaborate decorations, matching napkins, and precisely recreated family recipes. But what truly matters isn't the perfection of our table settings or whether the turkey is baked, grilled, or smoked exactly right. The real essence of Thanksgiving lies in how we show up for each other. It's about bringing joy, gratitude, and uplifting energy to our gatherings. Years from now, your family won't remember if the cranberry sauce was homemade or store-bought, but they'll remember the genuine connections, the laughter, and the love shared around the table. In my book "Letting Go Saved My Life," I explore how liberating ourselves from material trappings and false expectations can lead to more authentic relationships and meaningful experiences. This Thanksgiving, I encourage you to focus less on the perfect presentation and more on perfect presence. Want to dive deeper into living authentically? Check out "Letting Go Saved My Life" to discover how letting go of life's trappings can lead to genuine fulfillment. #Thanksgiving #Authenticity #PersonalGrowth #Leadership #MeaningfulConnections #GratitudePractice #PersonalDevelopment #LifeLessons

Help! It is not always easy to ask for it.. for many people don't recognise the need to ask for help, or are not sure who would help if they did ask, or feel it would show them as weak if they asked for help... Some people are even brought up with the idea of Self - Reliance which translates into don't take help from anyone. Some are advised to not help others. Yet, this world is a better place only because someone is ready to help another, and someone is comfortable to ask for it from another. #HelpOthers #HelpThemselves #AskForHelp

MOM I NEED TO HELP HIM The kindness of this little girl is heartwarming. Dining with her mother, she notices a man struggling to eat his food due to his violently shaking hands. Her mom told her, “he is sick, honey.” Rather than just sit there, her compassion and kindness urge her to walk over and help the man with his food and drink. There is no greater example of pure kindness you can see than in this video. If you enjoy my posts, please like, comment, and follow me and the friends I tag on LinkedIn. What’s in your cup today? Everyone loves a good cup of coffee. Some say the aroma awakes their senses. Others claimed coffee is their daily dose of comfort and love. I started my coffee journey post Covid. My teenagers were cafe hopping on many weekends and being the “cool” mom, I followed. I am far from cool. It took me a long time to differentiate a flat white and a latte. Which one has less milk therefore less sinful? I started taking photos of coffee. Because of this, I now have a TikTok account, for coffee only. I’ve also enjoyed all my interactions with baristas. Meet Anna (name changed) I went for my coffee run on what had been a particularly rough day. When Anna asked me how I was doing, I simply told her it had been challenging and wished I could press a restart button. She empathised and apologised on behalf of “the world”. I smiled and she continued making my coffee. While I was lost in my thoughts, Anna handled my coffee and slipped a note in my hand. RESTART, RESET, REFOCUS as many times as you need. Big Love, A I stood there, didn’t know what to do for a second. I must have held back on my tear. I thanked her for her kind words. They meant the world to me at that instant. Anna did not need to do anything over-the-top; it was just a small gesture that showed she cared. In our fast-paced lives, it’s easy to overlook how a simple act of kindness can make a significant impact on someone’s day. ☕️ Each cup of coffee now serves as a reminder that kindness exists in everyday interactions. ☕️ Coffee is now more than a beverage; it’s a ritual, a comfort, and a source of connection. ☕️ My love for coffee has now evolved into something much deeper. I’d love to hear from you. Do you have a favourite coffee spot or memorable interactions with baristas? Perhaps there’s a particular type of coffee that holds special meaning for you? #coffee #kindness #connection #origin Ps - I managed to steal a photo with Anna on her last day with the cafe. I am going to miss her smiles and daily dose of love. She makes the best coffee in town!

Cakes are more than just a dessert, they're a way to connect with others, to celebrate life's moments, and to create lasting memories.
