Is this the best customer experience in Australia? As someone who spends their days looking at how a company connects with customers through the brand, marketing, comms and experiences, it takes a pretty amazing experience to blow me away. One organisation that I think is the absolute 'best of the best' is www.lifeblood.com.au. The team at the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood team do three things amazingly well: their brand is single minded in its purpose and value proposition; the experience of registering and donating blood is so easy; their comms are second to none - right down to letting you know where your blood donation is going. Tick. Tick. Tick. Above all this, the work they do is so important. As someone who has had family members rely on donations (I need to make about 30 to square the ledger... 27 to go), anyone who can should really consider giving blood. Do it for the warm and fuzzies, do it to help someone else... and brand nerds should do it because you will see what I mean about amazing customer experience from end-to-end. Well done Australian Red Cross Lifeblood. I love your work on a whole bunch of levels. See you in a few weeks for the next donation. 👍

Indigenous Peoples' Day recognizes and celebrates the history and resilience of Native American people across the United States. In 2021 Oregon officially adopted Indigenous Peoples Day as a state holiday. The Five Oaks historical site is local to us here in Hillsboro, Oregon and creates a tangible connection to the history and lasting impact of the Donation Land Claim Act of 1850, a criticized act that was used to displace Native nations and Indigenous Peoples from desirable land and relinquish it to incoming settlers. Tualatin Kalapuyans named these five oaks “Chatakuin”. The branches of these trees held host to many gatherings and served as a landmark for Native and early pioneer persons. Today, only one of the original 500-year-old trees remain, but the other four were planted from grafts of the original trees. Learn More Here: https://lnkd.in/gw4M2PUe

Do you know of any nonprofits that might be appropriate for this opportunity? Please kindly share with them. I have the privilege to help in administering a grant opportunity to organizations for whom a grant of $5,000 - $10,000 would have a significant impact on their operations and, thereby, on their intended populations. Though the grants are limited to US nonprofits (501c3’s), they are primarily seeking to affect communities outside of the US that align with their mission. More information about their Mission, Vision and process can be found at the following link (along with the grant application): DignityandDevelopment.org. #nonprofit #grants #foundation #fundraising #philanthropy #nonprofitleaders #socialimpact #globalimpact #socialchange #economicdevelopment #povertyalleviation

Campus Health & Wellbeing Services is excited to participate in the United Way Central Alberta's Period Promise campaign this month! Period Promise aims to address the challenges individuals and families in communities across central Alberta face when they lack easy access to menstrual products. It's about ensuring that no one misses out on participating in community events and programs because they don't have the products they need when they need them. https://lnkd.in/gprzB8w7 Examples of the impact of restricted access are as follows: 29% of individuals missed community events. 27% of individuals missed social events. 18% of individuals missed school. 22% of individuals missed work. We'll be collecting period products at Campus #HealthAndWellbeingServices (Room 901), so please drop them off in the box at reception. If you prefer to give financially, you can do so by donating directly to United Way Central Alberta’s Period Promise campaign https://lnkd.in/gBx64fiH By donating to our collection campaign, you will be supporting the experience of students, staff, and visitors on our campus. To learn more about the impact of Period Promise in our communities, visit United Way Central Alberta’s website. Let's help United Way reach an even higher goal this year, improving the health and well-being of people and making it easier for them to stay engaged in their communities. #MyRDP https://lnkd.in/gBx64fiH

In development, a lot of nonprofits want quick wins "by the end of the year." Ok...well, that's transactional and not relational. That's more fundraising and my focus is philanthropy - a long-term approach to relationship building, aligning organizational needs with donor passions and building on that year over year over year. It's great to be in a place where I know that I know that I know what works and what doesn't. And having the confidence to say it. My hourly will increase with the new year, and there's still time to book at the current rate. Here's to relational philanthropy, friends - Truly the only way to scale and sustain a healthy nonprofit! #nonprofit #executive #JenerousLivingPhilanthropy https://lnkd.in/gXxaq2fR

👇🏽 Insight into Leeds Community Foundation and the impact grants make across Leeds to communities. Really powerful to read about what drives businesses to be involved with the Foundation. Esther Venning from Hill Dickinson LLP (Leeds) “… we’re helping so many worthy causes right across the region. Particularly those that often struggle to otherwise be seen… the more the business community supports Leeds Community Foundation the greater the impact they can achieve across the city…” #leeds #charity #crs #socialimpact #supportlocal https://lnkd.in/e-iFJSYk

"NATIVE-LAND.ca is a national online education resource used by school boards across the country. It has chosen to erase Israel from the map. It has replaced Israel with “Palestine” and all searches for Israel only yield “Palestine”. JEFA wrote to the leadership team at NATIVE-LAND.ca more than two weeks ago and has not received a response. This is not surprising seeing as the research resources listed for the region erase Jewish history altogether and even include a source called www.palestinianmartyrs.org. Historica Canada, a Canadian registered charity whose board includes former Premiers and Governor General, dignitaries and titans of industry, is listed as a key NATIVE-LAND.ca partner." How can it be that in a Country that is supposed to stand for integrity and honesty that this is a Registered Charity and that the Jewish National Fund--that plants trees has lost it's charitable status? and shame on those former Premiers, Governor general et. al. that would do this to our Ally, Israel.

Director, Customer Experience at NSW Trustee and Guardian
8moTotally agree- one of the best customer experiences and connections I’ve seen in a long time. The team have done great work and it is such a pleasure to experience. I’m up to a meagre 13 donations so also a long way off some of the donor legends but every drop counts as they say and I support encouraging anyone who can to donate.
