🌟📝We are excited to share our latest research on the effects of lameness in dairy cows, conducted in collaboration with our amazing co-authors. I’m truly grateful for their contributions and dedication to advancing dairy cow health and productivity Agriculture MDPI Ramūnas Antanaitis ❗️ 🌟📈Our study found that lameness significantly reduces milk yield (up to 40%), alters milk composition, and decreases rumination time—often before clinical signs appear. These findings highlight the potential of automated monitoring systems for early detection, enabling better welfare and management strategies. Early intervention is key to reducing economic losses and improving dairy farm sustainability. ⬇️https://lnkd.in/d6HBvcpD

A challenge - What is the real price of milk? The attached chart shows the raw dairy farm's milk prices in the EU for the last nine years—let's say 0.5 EUR/L. Can you tell me what would be the real price of milk if dairy farms were not subsidized by the government? Coffee/beer and glory for the solver.
