Trump’s re-election isn’t just a political event. It’s a mirror reflecting how profoundly our systems have failed. What breaks my heart isn’t just the result. It’s that millions saw exactly who he is, through four years, two impeachments, multiple indictments, and still believed he was their only hope for change. Think about what that means about our systems. About how deeply people feel abandoned by them. In looking to understand and heal these systems, I acknowledge the Indigenous protocols around water - protocols that weren’t designed to be extracted or repackaged, but that have sustained communities for millennia through their respect for sources, flows, and relationships. This is why I am determined to respectfully amplify the voices and perspectives of othered communities, out of necessity!
