2 BIG REASONS why I never really liked traveling for work 👇🏻 😣 The hassle of following up with my travel desk to get my flights, and accommodation sorted. ⌛ The unpredictability of the meetings ending on time and me catching my flight on time (especially if I happen to be visiting Bangalore). I remember this one time, I had to make a last-minute trip to Madurai for a corporate event and my travel desk personnel was just not picking up my calls. When she did call me back after 4 hours, it was to tell me that their wallet did not have sufficient funds to complete my booking. I really wondered, why my old org could not just get a myBiz account set up earlier. After all, ✅ myBiz By MakeMyTrip is MakeMyTrip’s corporate travel tool, designed especially for business travellers like us, and does have several benefits when you think of it: 1. The flexibility of self-booking tickets on time without any dependency 2. Corporate fares with awesome discounts and benefits, because yeah, few of us do travel back on the same day and can save wonders with this benefit 3. Easy planning for last-minute rescheduling or cancellations without burning the pocket 4. GST Invoices on the platform itself for easy reconciliation (claiming ITC becomes quicker) 5. Seamless payments through myBiz wallet But, if you're like me you're probably wondering how is myBiz managing this. Well, this is a classic case of platform effects at play, isn't it? So, for every corporate that myBiz onboards, let's say it means a minimum of 100 trips (2-way flights + accommodation + transportation) a month. This gives myBiz the bargaining power with suppliers, and the part of the deal they manage to crack, they end up passing it on to us customers, in terms of corporate fares, discounts and benefits. ⚡ I mean, I found it personally pretty useful, especially when I was making my last-minute travel plans to Mumbai earlier this year and managed to get a decent deal🤩 Have you also faced such travel-related challenges? Tell me in the comments. 👇🏻 #myBiz #myBizByMakeMyTrip #travel #work #collab #businesstravel #corporatetravel

I have something exciting to share. In the last few months I have been travelling back and forth from Kochi to Trivdandrum and to some other parts of Kerala. I have been trying to travel for some time and it didn't happen because of reasons or excuses that I made. Its hard to travel when you have lot of stuff in your plate too. Mostly we think we will travel after we sort everything out at work. But it doesn't happen. I understood this but I wasnt able to act. But I always knew in my gut that I am a traveller. I like meeting new people and cultural experiences. Last day everything aligned and now I traveled solo to Bangalore. When I travel I try to embrace all the things around it. I try to meet new people and hear their stories. Most of the times I meet such people whether be this Auto 'Chettan' or the old guy whom I met in the train who sold me this awesome credit card holder for 50rs. I like this experiences, because it teaches me stuff. The teachers are so experienced in what they do. Also they have lived much longer than me to see how the real world is like. What better teacher I can get right? It is always the strangers that comes into our lives, just like a breeze making you feel good or bad or whatever it is, as I am to them. A breeze :) I promised myself I will travel more this year. What about you? How have been your travel experiences? Do share them in the comments :) #travelling #travelexperiences #memories #lifeexperiences

Business lesson from 30,000 feet! While pursuing my MBA, I learned in Strategic Management that companies win either by being the cost leader or by having a differentiator. On my recent trip back from Goa to my home, I witnessed a fantastic example of how exceptional customer service can be a real differentiator. Having frequently traveled with various airlines, I've experienced different levels of service. However, the unique aspect Vistara Airlines offered was amazing. I had an early morning flight from Goa, followed by a connecting flight from Mumbai to Jaipur with a 5-hour layover. I'll be honest - I looked exhausted, and the Vistara cabin crew noticed. Without asking, they upgraded me to a seat with an empty spot next to it and provided me with a pillow and blanket so that I could rest. Such a small gesture, but it made a huge difference. It's these moments that remind you why people choose Vistara, even if the ticket might cost a bit more. They truly prioritize their customers' well-being, and it shows. This is the reason why people choose Vistara whenever given a choice. What are some recent examples of exceptional customer service you've experienced? PS: This is the picture from the airport before boarding the flight. #Travel #CustomerExperience #VistaraAirlines #differentiator #Strategy

- Here's how I prioritized COMFORT over LUXURY travel while I worked as a CRA - my personal experience You must travel a lot while you work as a CRA, let's take a real-life scenario. Hyderabad to Guntur (A.P) - Here's how you’ll travel luxury - To catch Monday's 7 am flight - You're boarding Starts at 6 am - You need to be at the airport by 5 am - You need to start from you're home by 4 am - You need to Wake up and pack your luggage by 3.00 am It's not the end here. - You'll land at Vijayawada at 8.30, as Guntur doesn't have an airport - (only if there is no delay in the flight) - Deboard and collect your luggage by 9 am - Book a cab and drive for 2 hours to reach Guntur by 11 am Finally, for 400 km via flight, you've to travel from 9-10hrs via flight On the other end - This is how you travel in comfort - Take a train from Hyderabad - Book 1st class AC coach - You eat, sleep, read, and watch movies for 4 hours - Get down at Guntur and reach your hotel with 30mins "Sometimes, luxury isn’t about catching flights or spending on convenience, but about choosing what keeps you energized and ready for the tasks ahead. As all travel for work, choosing a comfortable travel option makes your day easier, saves energy, and gives you more energy for the job. After all, what matters is not just reaching the destination, but how you feel when you get there. ✈️ vs 🚆—you decide what works best for you!" #TravelSmart #ComfortOverLuxury #WorkTravel #EfficiencyMatters #ProductiveJourneys #ChooseComfort #CRALife #TravelTips #WorkLifeBalance #SmartChoices #clinicalreserach #CRA #sponsor

TOUR COMPANY ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE Classification is rough, just for analysis purposes. AGENT/PARTNER LEVEL (0- 10 members) - 10 employees doing an desk job at an office is understandable at this level. Sub Regional DMC level (10-50 members) - Don't skip this step, it is important for expansion related purposes. Drivers, guides, assistant directors(in case of medical emergency, an vacum might get created so this approach is better, 3 are recommended), desk job staff, operations management staff etc. For example, covering the entire Saurastra region in Gujarat, this approach is good. Regional DMC Level (50-150 members)- Don't skip this step, it is important for expansion related purposes. Drivers, guides, assistant directors(in case of medical emergency, an vacum might get created so this approach is better, 3 are recommended), desk job staff, operations management staff etc. Zonal DMC level (150-450) members - Don't skip this step, it is important for expansion related purposes. Drivers, guides, assistant directors(in case of medical emergency, an vacum might get created so this approach is better, 3 are recommended), desk job staff, operations management staff etc. National Level Tourism Company (2000-2500 members )- (Drivers, guides, assistant directors(in case of medical emergency, an vacum might get created so this approach is better, 3 are recommended), desk job staff, operations management staff etc. Every department is equally important, whether it is logistics, desk job, tour guides etc.
