Did you know Rocket has a feature that allows you to run audits on your system? Here's how to run a quick audit in Rocket. For this example, we have 6 devices assigned to Preschool and one incorrectly assigned to Elementary. To start your audit, head over to the Configurations dropdown and click Audits. Here you'll select the building you want to audit. If you're auditing your entire system, select all buildings. Otherwise, you can go school by school and even room by room. Depending on how your setup is organized, we will go ahead and select Preschool. Once an option is selected, click the Start Audit button. You can now begin scanning the asset tags or serial numbers. Your Devices Depending on which method works best for you, we will add our preschool devices from earlier here. If I scan more than 12, Rocket will automatically add more slots to accommodate any additional scans. Keep in mind, if you scan asset tags that aren't already in Rocket, the system will create new devices with the asset tag listed as in serial number. Once you're done scanning, clicks Finalize Building Room and you'll be prompted with the options to continue scanning a different area or to finish your audit. Go ahead and click Finish. Your audit will now be generated. As you can see, we scan all of our devices assigned to preschool. But if you click this dropdown arrow, you'll notice our one incorrectly assigned device is listed under Mismatch locations. What's great about Rockets auditing feature is that you can easily update the device location. From here. Simply click Yes you would like to make this update. Then select Download Report and Execute to download your report showing all the changes you made. Now back in Rocket under Managed Devices. You'll see that our device has been updated to the preschool. With Rocket, it's easy to ensure all your device information stays correct. The really important addition here is a compatibility choice under Formula Calculation Mode drop-down. This change allows you to maximize back compatibility in case you work with people stuck on ancient editions, or to get the latest bits in case you frequently need LEN to handle emojis correctly. It’s an important change! Even if you never use emoji, read about the new compatibility concepts because we will be seeing this in the future.
