Making a Big World Small

Being asked to share my perspective on inspiring inclusion, particularly as a woman in the realms of financial services and international business, has given me a moment of reflection. In the spirit of #internationalwomensday2024, witnessing various communities come together is heartening, and I was delighted to share my thoughts alongside my peers at Currencies Direct and Redpin 👯♀️ For me, inspiring inclusion isn’t just a goal; it’s a commitment to fostering a workplace where every individual, regardless of gender, feels empowered to embrace their unique journey. In my career, I’ve learned the power of staying true to myself and overcoming imposter syndrome. As a woman in a male-dominated industry, I’ve faced misconceptions, but I’ve found strength in authenticity. My advice? Don’t compete, collaborate. Focus on breaking barriers, not limitations. And always remember, in the tapestry of diversity, kindness and empathy are the threads that weave lasting success and inspire true inclusion. Let's come together in celebrating the strides we've already accomplished and, more importantly, in persisting to create positive change for the generations that follow. Our collective participation is key to this ongoing journey of progress and inclusivity. See what my colleagues have to say here, and join us in the conversation 🖤 https://lnkd.in/ez9W-Ag2

THIS: "Don’t compete, collaborate. Focus on breaking barriers, not limitations. And always remember, in the tapestry of diversity, kindness and empathy are the threads that weave lasting success and inspire true inclusion." Life doesn't have to be a competition with a winner and loser. There's plenty of room for us all to thrive, Katie.
