Thanksgiving is a time for family, friends, and great food—but don’t forget about your furry family members! 🐾 Here are some important tips to keep your pets safe and healthy during the holiday celebrations: 🍗 Watch the Table Scraps: Many Thanksgiving foods, like turkey bones, rich gravies, and desserts, can be harmful to pets. Stick to pet-safe treats and avoid sharing food from the table. 🧄 Avoid Toxic Ingredients: Foods with onions, garlic, raisins, chocolate, and spices can be toxic to pets. Keep these ingredients out of reach, and make sure guests know not to give pets any “human treats.” 🕯️ Be Mindful of Decorations: Festive decorations like candles and floral arrangements can pose a risk. Keep them out of reach to avoid accidents. 🎊 Create a Quiet Space: If your pet is overwhelmed by guests or loud noises, set up a quiet space where they can relax and feel safe. Keeping your pets healthy and happy is important to us at Jackpot Veterinary Center. Let’s make this Thanksgiving a safe one for your four-legged friends! Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃❤️ #ThanksgivingPetSafety #JackpotVet #PetHealth #HolidayTips #TucsonVeterinarian #TucsonPets

Dogs 🐕 need to have good food to help them function at their best. However, after doing some research; there are dog foods that can create problems in dog behavior, and can cause other related health issues. However, not all of us can afford to even feed ourselves with these expensive food prices, and the cost of living now. I feed my dogs kibble: The Rachael Ray Brand Rachael Ray Show Rachael RayI add toppers to their kibble, such as plain yogurt with live probiotics, dried salmon, apples (without the skin of the apple and no apple core), dried cranberries, green beans (no salt), and at times fresh pet soft dog food. The fresh pet dog food is similar to other soft food, such as farmers dog. It’s about the delicious nutritious value. I do my best to feed them healthy. I also add a supplement for my bigger dog, to help prevent hip dysplasia which Is known for his breed. I can’t afford most of the great dog food out there. I just do my research to help use the resources I have at the pet stores or food stores, to better feed them. I read dog food labels because I read human food labels! And I believe Rachael Ray dog food is better vs other brands of kibble. I have tried other expensive brand of kibble!
