ESG, Corporate Sustainability | The University of Queensland

I’m thrilled to share our new publication in the Journal of Cleaner Production (in collaboration with Oxford Univeristy and Waseda University)! Special thanks to my supervisor, Dr. Anthony Halog for his invaluable support and guidance during the development of this article. I would also like to thank Dr. Paulo Savaget and Dr. Shinichi Fukushima for their insightful contributions. We discovered that while photovoltaic technology is essential for a decarbonised future, the lack of specific end-of-life regulations in many regions contributes to significant environmental challenges. The study advocates for integrating circular economy principles and life cycle assessments to develop sustainable end-of-life strategies, thereby reducing environmental impacts and supporting the global transition to renewable energy. #Photovoltaics #Sustainability #CircularEconomy #RenewableEnergy #EnvironmentalImpact #UniversityofQueensland #SchoolofEnvironment

New Publication Now Available Online (in collaboration with Oxford University and Waseda University)! As we move towards a more sustainable future, it's time we start thinking about circular economy and waste management practices. In particular, we need to focus on the implications of scaling up green hydrogen production and other renewable energy technologies. Our recent publication in the Journal of Cleaner Production highlights this shift's potential material and resource implications. It's not just a matter of environmental responsibility, but a crucial step in achieving a greener, more efficient tomorrow. Let's take action now and pave the way towards a sustainable future for generations to come.
