How Chess Gaja Academy Uses NPS to Keep Our Lessons Top-Notch 🎯 At Chess Gaja, we're constantly fine-tuning the learning experience we provide, especially because we know how much each lesson matters to a young chess enthusiast’s journey. One way we ensure this? By using the Net Promoter Score (NPS) to track and uphold the quality of our lessons. For those unfamiliar, NPS is a quick but powerful metric that shows how likely someone is to recommend your service, rated on a scale of 0 to 10. A higher score means a student enjoyed the lesson enough to suggest it to their friends! (For more details on NPS, here’s a link to the full breakdown https://lnkd.in/gW6avSzX) So how does NPS work for us? 🤔 After each lesson, students receive a short form to rate their experience. This real-time feedback allows our team to monitor quality closely. Every single day, our backend team reviews these scores to spot any lesson that scored 8 or below. When we see this, we reach out directly to the student—and often, their parents—to understand the context and address any concerns that may have influenced the rating. Of course, many times, it’s young kids who are rating, sometimes without adult supervision. So when a parent clarifies that a lower score was just a random choice, we take note and chalk it up to youthful spontaneity! 😊 Why does NPS matters for academies? 🎓 I genuinely believe that every academy with a team of coaches should consider the NPS approach to keep lesson quality—and their reputation—at its highest. For us, taking this step isn’t just about getting a good grade. If you’re in the field, how do you ensure quality? Would love to hear your thoughts! #ChessGaja #ChessAcademy #ChessEducation #Quality #GMPriyadharshan #Chess #ChessCoach #ChessCoaching #ChessLessons #ChessImprovement

I started playing chess at 4 years old. My dad taught me how to play chess. He took me to tournaments, and I enjoyed it. Eventually, I also started the chess club in high school. I’m not a grandmaster. But chess taught me → to think in first-principles. Which is how I always problem solve in life and work. This means you… → Question core ideas or “truths” → Break down complex stuff into the basic, foundational elements → Ask: Why and how do you believe it? What are the alternatives? The fundamental questions help build up solutions step-by-step. Big problems are solvable if you know how to break them down. P.S.: What’s something that a hobby has taught you?

Chess...ignites the next level of Thinking! Reading about #Gukesh winning the #chesschampionship made me nostalgic. Chess is one of my favorite hobbies, and I have so many cherishable memories associated with it. As I reflect on my journey learning chess from my parents and playing through university, I realize how this timeless game has profoundly shaped my ability to think. Hobbies like chess not only enrich our lives but also mold our personas. Imagine sitting across from an opponent, a chessboard between you, each piece representing a strategic move waiting to unfold. Chess isn’t just a game; it’s a masterclass in critical thinking and decision-making. From simulating the role of a team leader to embodying the spirit of a teammate, chess offers a unique opportunity to strategize and sharpen your mind. We all have some hobbies that contribute significantly to our lives. For instance, chess has provided me with countless hours of enjoyment and has shaped my critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Each match teaches us about strategy, patience, and foresight, acting as a mini life lesson every time we play. 🔹️What hobbies do you have that have impacted your life? 🔹️How have they helped you grow or change your perspective? Reflecting on these questions can reveal the deeper contributions of our passions. Whether it’s chess, gardening, crafting, cooking, painting, or something else, how have your hobbies shaped who you are today? Sharing these experiences can inspire others to explore their own interests and discover their potential. Let’s celebrate our unique journeys and encourage one another to embrace the hobbies that help us grow and thrive! #hobbies #personaldevelopment #leadershiptraining #teamwork

I used to play a lot of Free Cell. After playing it 1,000's of times I jotted down a few valuable life lessons: 1. When it looks like there’s no way, just do what you can do. 2. Several small moves are usually better than one big move. 3. Don’t have preconceived ideas of how the game should play out. Work with what you have. 4. Messy is usually better than neat. 5. Some moves are just temporary, but necessary. 6. Success comes from connecting disparate things, not similar things.
