As our Vision of Creation becomes reality
The Black Forest House 1650 is a historic farmhouse nestled high above the clouds at almost 3000 feet, in the middle of nature. After a four-year renovation by the owners Katharina Riess and Helmut Wahl, the house retained its harmonious connection to the landscape while also revealing a modern transformation. A space designed to foster connection, encourage creativity and facilitate collaboration. Inviting like-minded people to not only be present but also become a part of its narrative. "Connecting the Spaces" is essential in residential Architecture because it enhances natural light, ventilation and social interactions, creating a cohesive environment. The living room in our project, Haven Gap, serves as a central hub, seamlessly connecting all the unique rooms of the house. Its design blends primary and bold colours, soft forms, and grooved surfaces, creating a cosy, welcoming space. Oversized planters bring life to this space, while strategically placed lighting and textured elements contribute to a cohesive flow, ensuring each room is distinct yet connected. This integration allows for a unified narrative throughout the home, where each unique space is part of a larger, cohesive story. In decor, it exemplifies how thoughtful design can create a balanced and harmonious environment, marrying functionality with aesthetic appeal. #TheJaneTouch #InteriorDesign #HavenGap #Residential #DesignConnectivity

This contemporary building presents a blend of comfort and convenience, offering the charm of city life. The design suits those who prefer modern living while appreciating the vibrant pulse of the urban environment. The facade of the building displays a rhythmic order that promotes a sense of calm and stability. The repetition of rectangular windows and balconies, combined with stone cladding, creates a harmonious pattern that pleases the eye. The material palette is unpretentious, opting for low contrasts and soft tones that blend with the cityscape. Using materials such as stone and glass in muted colors conveys a sense of serenity and understated luxury. This choice ensures that the building doesn't overpower its environment but rather complements it, achieving a sophisticated aesthetic. Let's talk Mid-Century Modern. Bursting onto the scene in the mid-1940s to the late 1960s and still maintaining popularity today, these homes feature flat planes, large windows, and open spaces that blend indoor and outdoor living. Mid-Century Modern homes are known for their clean lines, functional design, and harmony with nature. Exteriors use materials like wood, glass, and steel, with minimalistic profiles. Interiors emphasize simplicity and functionality with open floor plans, natural light, and built-in furnishings. Earth tones, muted hues, and bold accent colors create a balanced aesthetic. Notable architects include Frank Lloyd Wright, who pioneered organic architecture, and Joseph Eichler, who popularized modern design for the middle class with his open, glass-filled homes. Palm Springs, California is notorious for its gorgeous Mid Century Modern homes nestled among tall swaying palm trees and stunning mountains. #MidCenturyModern #homedesign #architecture #openandairy #indooroutdoorliving
