As a designer and concept creator for Rewynd Snacks, CMPL 2024 was a treasure trove of inspiration! Here's a glimpse into 5 key trends that caught my eye: 1. The Power of Storytelling: Effective branding goes beyond just a logo. Brands that told compelling stories about their products and mission truly connected with the audience. This reinforces the importance of impactful design that communicates a brand's essence. 2. Collaboration is Key: The event fostered a strong sense of collaboration between manufacturers, private label companies, and designers. This collaborative spirit is crucial for pushing boundaries and creating truly unique products. 3. Innovation in the Snacking Industry: From exciting new flavors to functional ingredients, the snacking industry is buzzing with innovation. It's inspiring to see brands prioritizing health and well-being while still offering delicious options. 4. Minimalism with Impact: Bold colors and clean lines dominated booth designs. This trend highlights the importance of clear communication and letting the product shine through, which perfectly resonates with Rewynd's design philosophy. 5. The Future of Snacking is (Deliciously) Healthy: From plant-based protein to unexpected flavor combinations, the focus on healthy snacking with bold tastes was undeniable. This aligns perfectly with Rewynd's mission to revolutionize healthy snacking without sacrificing flavor. 6. Community Spirit: The event fostered a strong sense of collaboration within the industry. This collaborative spirit is what drives innovation, and it's something Rewynd values as we partner with manufacturers and designers to create healthy and delicious snacks. Peeking behind the curtain! See how Rewynd brought these trends to life in the video below! Mountain House, a freeze-dried food brand, recently released a package redesign that leaned heavily into taste appeal—and consumers ate it up. The new look earned a dramatic win, with 87% of consumers reporting they preferred to purchase the updated design while only 13% preferred the old design. While some consumers did note the bump in protein content, a vast majority of consumers mentioned the addition of the food imagery, which amped up the taste appeal and gave potential buyers a look at what’s inside. One consumer shared, “I would select the new package because it shows what the food looks like on the inside and I wouldn't have to guess what I am getting with the product.” Bravo, Mountain House! #designmeetdata #packagingdesign #packaging #redesign #analytics #cpg #visualdesign #brand #branding #branddesign #consumerinsights #marketresearch #datadriven #data Skidmore Studio

🍨 A Wishful Wishlist? Super Creamy 🥛 All Natural 🌱 Best Tasting Fruits 🥭 🥥 Premium Quality ⭐ Fun, Bold and Tropical 🌴 That is the long list of features that Frutero Ice Cream aimed to reinforce with their recent pack redesign. A formidable task, but one that they might just have accomplished. Led by a new brandmark, vibrant palette and flavour imagery, the brand seems primed to stand out on shelf and immediately cue people to Frutero (as well the variant on offer). Half the battle won - arguably the toughest part. But does the packaging also meet consumers' jobs-to-be-done and reinforce intended impressions? I believe so. The new summery tones and patterns evoke a tropical feel, enhancing perceptions of the product’s taste and freshness. The only reservation? I wonder the impact of losing the front-and-centre ice-cream imagery on impressions of 'creaminess'. Maybe less salient, but with the imagery relocated to the lid and a written call out of 'Creamy' — the associations likely remain strong. Kudos to Frutero and agency Olio Studio. I'm eager to see the brand's progress. 👏 What are your thoughts on the redesign?'

"From Roots to Fruits: Revolutionizing Business Perspectives with Clarity and Color!" Evolving Perspectives in Business Reflecting on my journey with Ancient Roots, a clean label brand, I recall how my initial focus on minimalist white packaging didn't always resonate with consumers. The love for purity and cleanliness guided my choices, but it didn't always communicate the essence of our products effectively. During exhibitions, feedback poured in. "Is this a pharma company?" or "Are you selling cookie dough?" The disconnect between my vision and consumer perception became evident. It taught me a valuable lesson: aesthetics matter, but clarity and consumer appeal are paramount. Understanding that taste and health go hand in hand, I realized the importance of striking a balance between visual appeal and product representation. It wasn't easy to pivot from my initial design preferences, but listening to our consumers opened up new possibilities. By embracing brighter colors and more informative packaging, we not only captured attention on shelves but also aligned with Ancient Roots' ethos of blending health with deliciousness. This shift in design not only resonated with our audience but also emphasized our commitment to both taste and well-being. In the dynamic world of business, staying open to feedback and willing to adapt is key. It's not just about what we love; it's about what speaks to our audience. Here's to continuously evolving, listening, and creating products that are not just visually appealing but also nutritionally enriching.🌱💼 #BusinessEvolution #ConsumerCentricity #AncientRootsJourney

I usually would never advise basing a whole brand off of a single [random] illustration. Or not doing any strategy, market analysis and deep-diving research beforehand either. But in the name of fun... anything goes! I wanted to see if it'd be possible to repurpose a made-for-fun illustration into a functional, versatile and recognisable brand illustration after the fact. So, welcome to Snack City, a completely made-up place (and brand), filled with the best kinds of snacks, little inhabitants, and fairly priced meals and nibbles. 🤔 Who do you think is the ideal target market for this brand? #brandillustration #restaurantbranding #foodillustration #wimmelbilder #detailedillustration #brandillustrator #foodmap #illustratedmap
