With ongoing negotiations to develop an international legally binding instrument on #plasticpollution, the Global Cities Hub is gearing up for the fourth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC-4). This short event will emphasize the role to be played by local and regional governments (LRGs) in the negotiation of this new treaty, and the necessity to refer to LRGs in the text itself. Further, the GCH will introduce the idea of a soft coalition on LRGs which should mobilize and engage LRGs during the negotiation process and beyond.
