MiamiTech Month 2024 ended on the eve of comMITment Day for Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Miami schools can be proud that their MIT yield was historically high. Come fall, the 305 will be sending to MIT the largest group ever from of the area’s high schools. I am convinced this is one of the great results of the tectonic shift taking place where Miami is transforming into a global STEM hub. Actually, I think it already has. There are many facts and figures that illustrate that. Here are a couple.

I'm thrilled to share that I've completed a 5-day Faculty Development Program on "Research Technology in Advancements in Computer Science" at Bishop Heber College, from May 1st to 5th, 2024. This program was an incredible opportunity to learn from industry experts, share knowledge with fellow academics, and explore cutting-edge research techniques in computer science. I'm eager to apply my newfound skills and knowledge to drive innovation and excellence in my research and teaching endeavors. Updating our platform has been a tremendous learning experience from both a business and engineering angle.
