The test of competence is validity. However we claim, brand ourselves and package it, the real test will come when consumers of our products and services finally call for it. They will be greeted with three surprises: 1. The claimed products, the noise about it, the packaging and branding about it, on social media, print media, the road show, etc surpasses the price, the bargaining value. Then, they want more and more. It will earn us more recommendations, accelerated and repeated patronages. 2. It optimally meets its claims and expectations. They will still want more. Patronage will still occur. 3. It falls below the expectations, below the advert, below the packaging, below the noise, below the claims. Oh, what a lie, faking, exaggeration, empty barrel. They will be greeted with regrets. That ends the patronage. Whatever we market: we brag about, we idolise, we promote, we sell or service, produce or deliver, let it earn the credibility and the value of the recipients. Value is much more perceived by the receiver than the giver. Would our services, products earn repeated patronage or it's done forever? We can only fool recipients of our services and products once, not twice. Maybe we need to sit down and ask: Why don't I earn repeated patronage? Where are my old customers? Why did they severe repeated and continued services and procurement of our services? Am I giving something special, new, uncommon or am I offering the same old value, old services? Am I really competitive? Do i actually worth what I claim, portray and display? It does lnt matter if we are a professional service provider, an employee, employer, an institution, etc, we have the opportunity to reengineer our services, ourselves for optimal value. It was 2019 when my performance at Deeper Life High School Valedictory Service and Prize Giving Day went viral. I got a phone call to attend a program at Aso Rock but someone along the line blocked the move. I took heart knowing that when it is God's time, no man would be able to block it. A few months ago (five years later) the video went viral again as it does annually and the Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission saw it and chatted with me. She was delighted with my performance. I was invited to anchor Day 1 only of "Diaspora Day 2024" It went very well so I was asked to join two top notch MCs for day 2. All in Aso Rock Villa! I became a small celebrity for two days 😃 What will be will be. In the waiting period, sharpen your skills because delay is not denial. Happy new week. #consistency #dedication #passion
