🚨 Unpopular opinion: I love being out and about on the road for work. I know a lot of people find business travel tedious (and fair enough). But to me, being on the road means an opportunity to connect with clients and partners. Every trip means I’m going to: - meet new people - build relationships - learn about businesses and challenges It’s about gaining input and insights that simply can’t be captured in a virtual meeting or email thread. There is invaluable information in: - stepping into someone else’s business - seeing the operations in action - discussing solutions in real time Whenever I get to go on the road for ACEPAK with Ryan Bonorchis, I savour it. It’s not just about closing deals, it's about cementing Acepak as the future of automation in the UK.

Hi, I’m Ella, Director at CM Trade Solutions, and I thought I’d kick off my LinkedIn presence by sharing a few lessons I’ve picked up on my non-traditional path in this industry! 1. Assumptions are real In this industry, assumptions come with the territory. When I call suppliers, they often assume I’m “the wife” calling for my husband—when in fact, I co-own the business with my fiancée Chloe, who’s out on-site working alongside our engineers some days! People are often surprised when they realise we both run and understand every part of our business. These moments remind me of the biases we’re challenging and give us the chance to redefine expectations. 2. Trust is powerful Our clients, especially women, often feel more comfortable asking questions and seeking advice with us. Building that trust has been essential to our growth. 3. Lead as yourself My background is in sales and customer service, not trades. Instead of blending in, I’ve learned that my unique background helps me lead confidently and connect better with clients. 4. Diverse Experience = Different Strengths Coming in with a client-focused mindset has helped me navigate the technical side of drainage without preconceived notions. My varied experience has been an asset in managing both people and projects. 5. Challenges make us stronger (and give us stories to laugh about) Being underestimated often just gives me a chance to pleasantly surprise people and build credibility. These moments remind me why I love what we do. Excited to connect with others who value expertise, trust, and a fresh perspective in their industry!
