On October 27, KN Energies marked ten years since the Klaipėda LNG terminal's FSRU Independence arrived in Klaipėda Port. ✨ To mark this milestone, we are releasing a series of interviews in partnership with 15min, featuring key figures who played a vital role in the terminal's success.   📢 In the latest interview, former Energy Minister of Lithuania, Arvydas Sekmokas, shares insights into how the Klaipėda LNG terminal transformed Lithuania’s energy landscape, enabling the country to achieve a secure, diversified energy supply. Notably, Sekmokas was the person who envisioned the FSRU’s name — Independence, symbolizing Lithuania's strengthened autonomy in energy.   Sekmokas reflects on how the terminal balanced Lithuania’s energy dynamics between East and West, reducing Eastern influence over its economy and politics.
