【SportsTech On the Rise | The Future of Fair Play: AI Referees See All】 The Paris Olympics is in full swing. This year’s Olympics has seen the application of a variety of innovative technologies, including AI, to enhance spectator experience and fairness of the competitions. This demonstrates the wide adoption of sports technology.   Cyberport startup eyes3 Sports Technology has developed an affordable alternative of Hawk-Eye system, assisting referees in determining whether a tennis ball is inside or outside on the court by simply installing the eyes³ mobile APP, and mounting the mobiles at designated positions. The accuracy of rulings increased significantly to around 87% after using the product, which is substantially higher than the 50% to 60% accuracy achieved by naked eyes.   The Paris Olympics have also introduced breakdancing or breaking as a new sport for the first time, bringing the street-born dance to the stage of the international sporting events. Another Cyberport startup #Diggin’ developed an intelligent scoring system to help speed up the scoring process. The detailed scoring system also helps address issues that athletes might find unfair.
