Are there more good ideas or bad ideas? The answer may surprise you. A few months ago, one of my clients was worried. The pretotyping tests for their new idea were not yielding the results they had hoped for. "Now we are stuck ... and without a Plan B ... we have no other good ideas!!!" How is that possible? How can anyone EVER run out of good ideas, when there is a practically INFINITE NUMBER of ideas out there. Yes. It's true that most of those ideas will be bad/impractical/The Wrong It. But that still leaves a GOLDMINE—a smaller—but still INFINITE NUMBER—of good/practical/The Right It ideas. And the best way to dig that GOLDMINE of new ideas is to play the INNOVATION BY COMBINATION "GAME" — which you can learn to play in this 3min video. Try it any recent innovation (e.g., Apple's Vision Pro) and see how many new ideas you can come up with. I recently did this exercise with the client during a workshop and came up with 100 new wow/good/interesting ideas in less than 15 minutes. https://lnkd.in/g2PHxWF7
