So way back when I was a young buck in the Army 🎖 , I learned a few basic character qualities. I was at Fort Knox (basic training 🔫 - 1991) and I'll never forget the Sergeant Major (CSM Broughton) give his very scary speech (because everything is scary in basic training). Actually, the speech was exciting, motivational, and definitely made an impact 💜 . so much so that I have not forgotten the basic message.. the 4 C's. Courage Competence Candor Commitment The Cookie Monster would have loved the speech even if "cookie' wasn't one of the 4 C's. Anyways, the point is that these C's apply to just about any job and endeavor. Here, I have changed one of the C's to COMMUNICATION. Why? Because in the #communityassociationmanagement business, #communication is of the utmost importance. Great insight on the 4 C's and the impact they had on you! 🌟
I like the C’s. Although I’m not sure I would have chosen Competence to be replaced 😁. If I couldn’t have five C’s, then I might have dropped Courage thinking that Candor naturally requires Courage. Just my viewpoint… The last thing I want is an incompetent manager that’s unafraid to speak his/her mind and does so often and ferverently 😂
