Faster construction will be a trend in the future. Our development partner also grateful for INSEE green construction practices. This happens because the consumption of bamboo and wooden planks for the concrete casting process is much reduced, this was replaced by lightweight floor panel method (precast). Come join us for innovation and sustainable construction practices. #insee #inseesuperpanel #lightweightbuildingmaterial #precast #prefabrication #greenconstruction #sustainableconstruction

Wood Would Reduce Our Carbon Footprint In a recent BuiltWorlds interview, Lisa Podesto from Swinerton provides insightful perspectives on the future of mass timber and offsite construction, emphasizing their significant roles in enhancing sustainability within the construction industry. Podesto highlighted the critical advantages of offsite construction, particularly its contribution to sustainability. By prefabricating building components in a controlled factory environment, offsite construction ensures higher quality control and significantly reduces material waste. This method not only supports sustainable practices but also addresses labor shortages and improves safety by minimizing on-site work. The efficiency gained through offsite construction allows for faster on-site assembly, reducing overall construction timelines and minimizing environmental impacts associated with prolonged on-site activities. Sustainability is a core benefit of mass timber construction. Timber, as a renewable resource, sequesters carbon throughout its lifecycle, making it a superior choice over conventional materials like concrete and steel. For instance, studies have shown that mass timber buildings can reduce carbon emissions by up to 26% compared to traditional steel and concrete structures. Additionally, engineered timber products such as cross-laminated timber (CLT) and glued-laminated timber (glulam) provide the necessary structural strength for various building types, including high-rise constructions. Timber's natural insulating properties also contribute to energy efficiency, reducing heating and cooling demands and further enhancing the sustainability profile of timber buildings. Besides, it's beautiful. We're big fans. https://loom.ly/aBdVALo #timber #design #construction #sustainabilty
