Chikmangaluru-Hassan-Kodagu (CHK) GA proudly launched the first Domestic Piped Natural Gas (PNG) connection in Arakalagud town, #Hassan district, and Nagathavalli village, KIADB – Hassan, under our CGD network. Following the successful commissioning of DCUs in these areas, we're excited to provide eco-friendly natural gas to households and industries. The Arakalagud - DCU commencement marks the start of natural gas supply to two wards of Arakalagud town. Simultaneously, the KIADB – DCU commissioning will offer environmentally friendly energy to industries within Hassan's SEZ corridor and Industrial area. Our inaugural customer has already converted her stove to PNG, signaling the shift towards cleaner energy. We anticipate more domestic, commercial, and industrial clients embracing Natural Gas as their primary fuel source soon. AG&P Pratham recently organized an industrial meet to promote the adoption of Natural Gas among industries in Kolar district. The event witnessed an impressive turnout, with 43 industries from Vemgal, Narsapura, Malur, and Tamaka participating, apart from renowned brands such as Mitsubishi, ITC, Apollo Tricoat, Fab Tools, Zeco Aircon, Modern Automotives and Biovet. The President and General Secretary of the Industrial Association emphasized the benefits of Natural Gas in reducing pollution and enhancing energy efficiency, advocating for its adoption and the role of AG&P Pratham. Esteemed speakers highlighted the advantages of Natural Gas, its alignment with government policies on environmental conservation and its importance in achieving sustainability. Additionally, the President of the Industrial Association, along with the Deputy Commissioner and Environmental Officer, discussed supportive government policies incentivizing the transition to cleaner energy sources and promoting sustainable development. The Retrofitment teams were present to assist industries in converting diesel gensets to Piped Natural Gas (PNG), facilitating a seamless transition to cleaner energy solutions. Information was provided on converting boilers to run on natural gas, highlighting potential cost savings, reduction in emissions and enhanced operational efficiency. In conclusion, the industrial meet was successful in attracting significant participation and fostering constructive dialogue on sustainable energy practices. The event raised awareness about the benefits of natural gas and garnered support for its widespread adoption among industries in Kolar district. The CEO of Invest Sabah Berhad, Dr Firdausi Suffian was on TV Sarawak (TVS) on Friday to discuss on Malaysia’s Budget 2025. He talked about the competitive advantages of Sabah especially in the areas of renewable energy, biomass, Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) and the blue economy.  Here’s also the summary of budget allocated for Sabah in case you missed it: 1.⁠ ⁠RM6.7bil development allocation 2.⁠ ⁠Special allocation for Sabah and Sarawak increased to RM600mil, reassessed for the first time since 1969 3.⁠ ⁠17 Pan Borneo Sabah projects with a contract value of RM9.7bil gets SST removed 4.⁠ ⁠RM1bil allocated to setup a heart centre in Kota Kinabalu and a cancer centre in Sarawak 5.⁠ ⁠Both Sabah and Sarawak will get RM500mil to get supply of clean water and electricity for 5,150 homes 6.⁠ ⁠RM253mil will be invested to expand Tawau Airport, improving travel infrastructure and capacity 7.⁠ ⁠RM350mil will be allocated for bridge repairs and street lighting projects across rural areas in Sabah 8.⁠ ⁠RM1bil has been allocated for upgrading 543 schools, focusing on dilapidated school infrastructure, particularly in Sabah 9.⁠ ⁠The Pemberian Khas grant for Sabah has been doubled to RM600 million starting in 2025 to help reduce the developmental gap 10.⁠ ⁠Sejati MADANI Program: RM600 million has been allocated to boost rural economies in Sabah These allocations will help to boost the economy in Sabah and will make the state to become a more attractive investment destination. #budget2025 #sabahmajujaya #investsabah

As part of our commitment to drive positive change in the communities we serve, our Malaysia business unit launched the “Lighting-up Lives” project to bring sustainable solar lighting systems to ten Indigenous villages in the Belum Rainforest, Perak, #Malaysia - communities that previously had no electricity.
