https://lnkd.in/dh7PJ2s5 At my workplace we got pastries *and* bagels … along with the napkins. So, that was cool. But that can’t be what it is about. All the breakfast foods, lunches, and “employee appreciation days” won’t matter unless return to work involves greater value for the *employee* and not just the employer. The case for why employers might want a “work from work” is not hard. But the return to work should able to make the employee better too. So how is the return to work going to improve things for the people actually returning, long term? Other than continuing to get a paycheck … because there are still enough remote/hybrid employers out there willing to provide that benefit. More engaged and connected employees are better employees, so getting to “win/win” on return to work seems like it should be an easy priority.

Today, we held our monthly Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland Veteran Ambassador call - a time to connect, reflect, and support one another. This month, we took a moment at the start of our meeting to talk about Safety Week, reminding ourselves of the crucial role we all play in keeping each other safe. In an industry where the stakes are high, looking after ourselves and our teammates is essential. Prioritising safety is not just about policies and procedures, it’s about the commitment we make to speak up, stay vigilant, and look out for one another. Whether we’re in the office or on site, each of us has a duty to maintain a safe environment where everyone feels supported and empowered. As we discussed, the most powerful impact we can make often comes from the smallest actions - taking time to check in, having open conversations, and leading by example.
