🎉 What an amazing PyData Stockholm meetup yesterday!🎉 On September 26th, we had the pleasure of gathering data professionals, both familiar and new faces, for an exciting deep dive into the world of data infrastructure and AI. 🚀 💡Highlights: ✅ Mohinuddin . and Rashidul Islam from H&M showcased how self-serve infrastructure, automation, and reusable components are revolutionizing their data landscape. The insights on streamlining development cycles and empowering data teams were incredibly valuable! ✅ Olga Arvidson and Sajal Singh from Kyndryl shared a thought-provoking session on the hurdles of scaling GenAI and how we can work through them. Their expertise was a great addition to the event. Beyond the talks, it was a fantastic opportunity to network with peers, exchange ideas, and explore cutting-edge solutions in the data industry. As a data platform practitioner, our job is to empower data producer and consumers through building and providing artefacts they need for their daily job. My daily job is to understand their pain points and daily toils as product manager. But by providing only artefacts we can not take them to the desired state. We need to see this from a socio-technical perspective while designing the platform, instead of pure technical solution. Because it is a wicked problem. Platform can only reduce the cognitive load, if it takes the consideration of the organizational context while designing. Since people,practices and artefacts play together to achieve the desired state(new context). Understanding the pain point in the context and environment around it, is daunting task in large organisations, specially when boundaries are not clear due to it’s inherent complexity. That's why we also need to define the boundaries while designing the systems like platform. My colleague Mohinuddin . and I had an opportunity to talk about empowering data teams in #pydata Stockholm meetup. But when I reflect I see that we did not talk from a socio-technical perspective rather from a pure technical perspective. I want to have a discourse about this with other practitioners to hear their perspectives and experience. Ping me if you have any thoughts.

From San Francisco to Milan, innovations, ideas, and a passion for data travel fast - especially when shared in a great meetup! 🚀 😍 I had a fantastic time attending the meetup organized by the Snowflake Italia User Group and participating in the discussion panel to revisit the #DataCloudSummit experience. The conversation was insightful and full of great ideas. As I mentioned during the panel, I was particularly impressed by Snowflake's advancements in data governance and the introduction of features aimed at enhancing the efficiency for data engineers. On the relationship between data and AI, I've shared my perspective: data and AI are two sides of the same coin, but it’s the data that gives value to the whole. This vision is clearly reflected in Snowflake's approach, with numerous innovations in data management stemming from the summit, not just in AI. 🚀 One Year Later. My #BigDataLDN 2024 Recap Last year, I wrote a blog asking if #DataObservability had its coming out party at #BigDataLDN2023. This year, it's clear—Data Observability is no longer niche but a critical part of the data stack. 📈 We've seen Data Observability climb to the “Peak of Inflated Expectations” in Gartner’s Hype Cycle. Gartner also published its first-ever #DataObservability Market Guide, signaling a pivotal shift in the space. 💡 My session was packed to capacity this year, with many turned away. I had 4x the audience from last year and many were already familiar with Data Observability, with others eager to learn why it’s the 2nd hottest topic according to Gartner after #genai 👏Our CMO Mahesh Kumar presented 2 packed sessions on how industry-solutions and #AI benefit from data observability which led to huge crowds coming to our booth for follow up demos. 🏢 The booth was powered by the trio of Lorena Andrews, Benjamin Bella, Ali Hassan welcomed everyone to our theater running packed demos done by Darren Foley & Henry Tram every 30 min. The interest mirrored our last 12 months of hypergrowth where we’ve continued to deploy our platform at the largest companies in the world. 🤝Acceldata’s CEO Rohit Choudhary, head of EMEA sales Justyn Goodenough, Ben Laverton, Duncan Paul hosted some of the largest financial, pharma, retail and banking executives at our booth. 👍We all had the privilege of speaking with them about their key challenges including #dataquality, #dataproducts, Snowflake & Databricks cost optimization, improving #AI, #cloudmigration, and unlocking the potential of #datacatalogs & #datagovernance. 🙏 Finally a word of thanks to Mike Ferguson chair of Big Data LDN for yet another great event. 🚀 Learning by competing is one of our ways to grow at InfiniteDATA Services. 🏆 Yesterday we had an opportunity to participate in Gen AI and LLM Escape Room hackathon organized by our partner Snowflake. Our team took up the challenge and after a whole day of solving business problems using Snowflake technology we won the hackathon! ❄️ To give you a taste of what was going on, we used Snowflake AI Data Cloud to go through 3 scenarios for a retail customer, Tasty Bytes. From analyzing customer feedback in real time to increase customer satisfaction and quickly react to negative sentiment, to analyzing financial reports (unstructured data) from competitors to find opportunities to win more market share, to enabling the client's operations team to query inventory and order data using natural language. All of this was accompanied by a business presentation for C-level stakeholders.
