Our Big Give Christmas Challenge total stands at just over £41,000 – which is absolutely phenomenal. 🤩 In just 48 hours, you helped us smash our £35,000 target – but please don’t stop there! Even though your donation will no longer be doubled, you can still make a BIG difference and donate until midday tomorrow (Tuesday 10 December). 🙌 We’re struggling more than ever to raise the funds to continue running all our vital services. And your donations mean that we’re able to keep caring for you and your family when you need us the most. Our Head of fundraising Stephanie Lawless said: “Christmas is such a special time of year for so many. So we want to raise as much money as possible to support our incredible teams who look after our patients 24 hours a day over the Christmas period and beyond. "We can't thank everyone enough for supporting this initiative so far. It means the world to us and the people we care for." Watch our video and hear Katharine House nurse Gemma explain how we make Christmas special for our patients and families at the hospice and how your donation makes a difference. ❤️ https://lnkd.in/eBzRWWke

Strike Out T1D with Us This Weekend! Get ready to roll with purpose! This Sunday, November 10th, Leyton and I are hitting the lanes at Victory Bowl in Mankato for the fourth annual Strike Out T1D event. We’re excited to be bowling to raise funds for Camp Sweetlife, an incredible nonprofit camp that supports kids with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) in living full, empowered lives. Why Camp Sweetlife? Camp Sweetlife isn’t just a camp—it’s a life-changing experience. It’s a place where kids with T1D get to be kids, enjoying all the classic camp adventures, surrounded by counselors and medical staff who truly understand what they're going through. Our goal is to eventually make this camp free for any T1D kid, ensuring no child misses out on this experience due to financial reasons. Here’s How You Can Help! You can support our team in a few ways: Pledge Per Strike: Donate per strike our team throws (like $0.50 per strike). Example: $0.50 x 50 strikes = $25. Pledge with a Cap: Donate per strike but with a max amount, like $0.50 per strike up to a $20 donation. Flat Donation: Keep it easy and give a set amount for the event! To contribute, you can donate directly to Camp Sweetlife here https://lnkd.in/gVmM3fZU or Venmo me, and I’ll make sure it reaches them. or, like and share this post to make sure it reaches as many people as possible. Together, let’s show kids with T1D that nothing can hold them back!

Dear Friends and Community, Winter is fast approaching, and for many families, it means more than just bundling up in warm clothes. Imagine being a parent and not having the means to buy a basic winter coat for your child. The helplessness, the worry, and the fear of not being able to protect them from the harsh cold — this is the reality for too many families. But together, we can change that. As an ambassador for the Centraide campaign, I am joining forces with others to raise funds and provide children in need with warm winter coats. Our goal is to raise $9,000, and I’m counting on our community to help make this happen. Why should you participate? Because it’s not just about a donation. It’s about ensuring that no child has to face a bitter winter without warmth, without a coat, without protection. Whether it’s $20 or $200, every contribution will have a direct impact on a child’s life, making sure they stay warm and safe this winter. How can you help? • Click the link below to make a donation and help bring warmth to a child in need. • Feeling inspired to do more? Join the cause and help us raise funds to spread even more warmth. Let’s show the strength of our community. Together, we can make a lasting difference, one coat, one child, one donation at a time. Click here to donate or join the cause: Donate now: https://bit.ly/4fgJCp1 Every moment counts — let’s make sure no child has to endure the cold without our support.

The Fundraising Regulator, Charity Commission for England and Wales, and Action Fraud have joined forces to remind people how to give with confidence over the festive period. Christmas is a time when people across the UK are more likely to donate to charity than at any other time of the year. However, donors must remain vigilant. Last year, there were 484 reports of charity-related fraud and cyber-crime, resulting in a total loss of £1,177,773. Those behind these cyber attacks take advantage of public generosity by creating fake appeal websites, sending email appeals that falsely use the names of genuine charities, and launching appeals from fake charities. To help you give safely this Christmas, the regulators have provided simple steps for safer giving:
The festive season is a time of great kindness and generosity. Spread the joy and give to causes close to your heart this December.🎄❤️ Find a charity using our register to donate with confidence: https://lnkd.in/eb_VdcAw #SaferGiving #12DaysOfChristmasGiving

🌟Tales from the ledger - Give a little, Change a lot.... End of financial year is usually the time when tax deductible donations to charities increase, which is great, they need them to keep providing their valuable services. But you don't always have to donate money. As a small business owner, I understand the importance of community and the power of coming together. So today, I'm proud to say that I supported the Red Cross and my community by donating plasma. I have donated blood before, but this time I decided to donate plasma, it takes a little longer to do, but I think it is worth it. I met a lovely volunteer called Diana, and was very thankful to Kasia and the other nurses that were involved. I invite you to join me in making a difference. If you are someone who is eligible to donate and would like to start, the link to book a donation is in the first comment. Here’s why your donation matters: ❤️ Emergency Relief: 1 in 3 people will need blood or blood products in their lifetime 💉 Lifesaving Blood Donations: Australia needs more than 29,000 donations every week to meet demand. A single blood donation can save up to 3 lives. Let's show the strength of our community and make a difference today. Click the link in the first comment to book a donation. 💉Plasma is used in over 18 life-changing plasma treatments. #RedCross #CommunitySupport #MakeADifference #SmallBusinessCares #FirstClassAccounts #TalesFromTheLedger

No one ever wants to have to use Hope's Harbor services. But if you have ever been a caretaker, you know it is not easy. You’re tired, you need a shower, you need a warm meal. You need to be clear headed so you can make important decisions. Hopes Harbor takes care of those who are taking care of a sick or injured child in the hospital-for days, sometimes weeks, sometimes even months. On Giving Tuesday, please consider giving a $10 donation. Because Hopes Harbor families are welcome regardless of their ability to pay. Donate or volunteer to make a meal: https://lnkd.in/egH-qSr6
Today is the day! It’s GivingTuesday, and we’re on a mission to rally 100 donors and raise $10,000 to support families with children in the hospital. At Hope’s Harbor, we provide housing, meals, and comfort for families during some of life’s most difficult moments—all at no cost to them. 💛 Your gift makes this possible. Donate now at hopesharborfw.org/donate. Every donation brings us closer to our goal of 100 donors in one day and ensures no family faces these challenges alone. Let’s come together and provide Strength Next Door for our families! 💕
