A busy breakfast meeting today with lots of interesting conversations about how to recruit and develop talent in your business - focusing on apprenticeships, being National Apprenticeship Week. Thanks to the panel Martin Reeves from Wiltshire College & University Centre, Sam Gooding and Joshua Thursby from Gooding Accounts Ltd for sharing their insights from the perspective of a learning provider, employer and apprentice. 💡 Did you know that apprentices can work for different employers at different times through the Shared Apprenticeship Scheme? A great way to widen participation in apprenticeships, especially smaller businesses who may not be able to commit to a full-time position for the duration of the apprenticeship. (That's something new I learned today) 💡 Did you also know that apprentices need a special type of employment contract which covers the usual requirements plus additional content under the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children & Learning Act? (that's something I do know a lot about!)
