#VULNERABILITYPOST: As we wrap up September, let’s take a moment to reflect—what did you accomplish this month? Recognizing and sharing our accomplishments, big or small, reminds us of our progress and can lift our spirits, especially during times when we feel stuck or uncertain. September, for me, is usually the roughest month each year, as it seems to be a collection of death anniversaries and sad days all throughout. This year, it was the recent loss of my beloved 11-year-old rabbit on September 10th who was a gift to me during a time of grief over the loss of our daughter many years ago. But, just days after, I was reminded that life is still beautiful and it indeed does go on. I had set a goal on August 19 when I put 4 duck eggs in an incubator to hatch, having never incubated eggs before. I had no idea what to expect, and truth be told, I really thought I'd screw it up royally. God had other plans though, because 3 of them hatched on September 16th and they are healthy and thriving. 🎉 It may not be a fancy new service package I came up with or a new client added to my roster, but it's still a small win in my book and worth sharing. Because who doesn't love baby ducks? 🦆 🤗 Celebrating wins, no matter how small, is key to staying motivated and on track to finish out the year. Share with me in the comments and tell me, what did YOU accomplish this month? #MonthlyReflection #SmallWins #BusinessGrowth #Q4Ready #VAservices #SmallBizSupport #LetKatieDoIt #BackYardDucks #FarmLife #WorkFromHomeLife #LifeGoesOn #turmoilandtriumphs

10 Simple Things We Should Be Grateful For But Often Forget • A Supporting Family – The ones who cheer you on, no matter what. • Friends Who Listen – Those who are there for the late-night rants and deep talks. • Good Health – Even on an ordinary day, it’s a blessing. • A Roof Over Your Head – A safe place to call home. • Home-Cooked Meals – Love served on a plate, often taken for granted. • Someone to Call in Tough Times – That one person who always picks up. • Moments of Laughter – Especially shared with loved ones. • People Who Believe in You – Even when you doubt yourself. • Everyday Comforts – Clean clothes, a warm bed, or just a quiet moment. • Second Chances – The opportunity to try again and grow.

Finding Strength in Support: The Importance of Having People by Your Side During Tough Times Life is a journey filled with ups and downs, and it's during the challenging moments that we truly realise the value of support from those around us. Whether it’s family, friends, or colleagues, having a support system can make all the difference in how we navigate through difficult times. When the weight of the world feels heavy, a comforting word or a simple presence can provide immense relief. These are the people who listen without judgment, offer advice when needed, and stand by us even when things get tough. Their unwavering support gives us the courage to face our fears and the strength to keep moving forward. Support people remind us that we are not alone. They celebrate our victories, no matter how small, and lift us up when we fall. They are the pillars of strength that hold us up when we feel like crumbling. In their company, we find solace, understanding, and the reassurance that better days are ahead. This past week has been one that I won't fast forget. I said goodbye to my best little buddy and shadow of the last 10 years. Sometimes in the veterinary industry it's easier to distance ourselves from the emotion to prevent being overwhelmed by the grief we are faced with when a client's beloved pet is in need of our help. I am so thankful that Bailey had such a wide support system in her final week as her disease rapidly progressed. Without them being my pillars I'm certain the roof would have caved in on me and I would have been crushed by the emotion and grief I was feeling. It’s important to cherish and nurture these relationships, to be there for others as they are for us. Expressing gratitude and acknowledging the impact they have on our lives can strengthen these bonds and ensure that the support is mutual and enduring. In times of hardship, never underestimate the power of a supportive community. Reach out, lean on those you trust, and let them help you through. Together, we are stronger, more resilient, and better equipped to handle whatever life throws our way. To all the incredible support people in my life and yours – thank you. Your presence is a beacon of hope and a source of strength that makes all the difference. #SupportSystem #Gratitude #StrengthInNumbers #CommunitySupport #Resilience

👋🏻 I was reminded of Christmas Carol today, in June, and immediately pulled up this photo. My friend, Melinda and I were catching up on our unique brilliance and our approaches to coaching and she said, "Amy, you're the Ghost of Christmas Future" - we had a good laugh and here's how she explained it to me... I was there, I have experienced the highs, the lows, and all the in betweens of the corporate/9-5/organizational workplace AND I've experienced the entire grief cycle of stepping outside of that culture. I'm able to recall how you feel, when you're in the muck of it - when you feel secure with the stable paycheck, the insurance, the retirement account AND are also feeling the pinch of people/places/things that weren't designed with you in mind. This could be a boss, a partner, a relationship or the workplace or your social club or even your current geographical location. There's a pinch, it feels sudden and also, if you're being honest with yourself, it's been there for a while. Melinda said, you're the physical, emotional, mental embodiment of what COULD be. 🎤 👊🏻 For me, I needed a clean and sudden break so that I could consider could be, and while I know that not everyone can or should or needs to do it like I did, I do know that the call will get louder and stronger the longer you avoid it. So, I am the storm...the storm that allows you to feel everything that is coming in while examining and assessing what degree of step toward the call you are willing to take, on your timeline. I walk the middle, beside you, to amplify your unique brilliance and to determine what action feels authentic, but also practical for you...no one can do what you do, how you do it. Allow that to be true. I guide you to your magic while getting down to brass tax. #CoachingWithAmy #IAmTheStorm #WhatCouldBe #ChristmasCarol #CoachingBuddies #CorporateWomen #CorporateVeterans

𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗟𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗶𝘀𝘁 🍋 When a stranger robbed Josh and Rebecca Caldwell’s 🍋🍋 lemonade stand, you might assume that was the end of their sweet little summer venture, right? A jar with their $40 earnings - poof, gone. So what do you do when life steals your lemonade? Shocked and angry, the kids rushed to their mom, Annetta, who was just as furious. After the initial shock and a quick call to the police, Annetta faced a decision: chase the robber, stay angry, or do something else entirely. She chose forgiveness over frustration. Instead of letting bitterness take root, she turned the situation into a powerful lesson for her kids—teaching them that they could rise above the anger and focus on something bigger. Rather than holding a grudge, the Caldwells kids set up their lemonade stand again, but this time, what happened next was nothing short of remarkable. Hundreds of locals showed up in support, transforming what was once a sour moment into a community-driven celebration. The little stand became a symbol of resilience and hope. Annetta shared the story of the robbery, never expecting the tidal wave of kindness that followed. The support was proof that choosing forgiveness can often lead to something much sweeter than revenge ever could. And in the end? Rebecca and Josh walked away with far more than just forgiveness. They learned the true power of community kindness and generosity. Oh, and yes, they earned much more than $40. 🍋 ❓ Ever had someone at work swipe credit for your hard-earned project, leaving you feeling like you were robbed at the lemonade stand? Now, you could plot your sweet revenge, but here’s a twist: like the Caldwell kids, what if you forgave, but didn’t forget? ⁉ They didn’t let it slide quietly—they raised awareness about what happened, just like setting boundaries at work. Could this approach help you rise above while still holding your ground? Share your thoughts: Forgive, outperform, and set boundaries with a sweet twist? 🍋💼 #kindness #community #generosity #forgiveness #gratitude #payitforward #support #giveback #compassion #hope #love

Happy Thanksgiving to our friends and family celebrating today ! Thanksgiving is often a time for families to gather and reflect on gratitude, love, and legacy. It is the ideal opportunity to discuss practical matters, like estate planning and the need for a Will, especially with loved ones present. The spirit behind Thanksgiving highlights the importance of having a will. Family Conversations About the Future Thanksgiving brings families together, making it a natural time to discuss topics like planning for the future, asset distribution, and wishes regarding care and inheritance. Open discussions can ease tensions and ensure everyone understands the reasons behind your decisions. Expressing Gratitude and Protecting Your Legacy Creating a will is a way to protect the people and causes you are grateful for, ensuring that your legacy reflects your values. It allows you to express gratitude by leaving meaningful gifts or provisions for loved ones. Minimising Family Disputes Without a will, disagreements about inheritance can strain family relationships. A well prepared will clarifies your intentions and helps maintain harmony. Planning for Uncertainty Thanksgiving reminds us to cherish our time with loved ones. Discussing the need for a will is a practical step to prepare for life’s uncertainties while surrounded by those who matter most. By working with Swinford Will & Estate Planners, you can secure your legacy, protect your loved ones, and ensure peace of mind. #Thanksgiving #Wills #Trusts #LPA #Lastingpowerofattorney #Estateplanning

I don’t share my personal life on here too often, but after some personal reflection I felt this is important. Two weeks ago my world came to a stand still. I will spare you the details. But my person, one of the most important people in my life was almost taken from me due to a medical emergency. It was the scariest and honestly worst 11 days of my life. Saying our goodbyes and planning for the worst while still trying to keep my life responsibilities running almost did me in. Not going to lie. But, I am very grateful that we survived it, we are on the road to recovery and it put a lot of things into perspective for me. You see, I have always been that person who keeps going in the face of adversity. “Just keep going Cindy… it will be fine” is what my motto in life has always been when something crazy or scary happens. But this time was different. This time I had to take a hard look at what I have, what I don’t have and make peace with what are the most important priorities in my life. I was very blessed to have a work circle and family circle who forced me to take some time off and take care of myself. But not everyone is so lucky to have that kind of support. I am not sharing this for Pitty or likes. I am sharing this to hopefully help others remember to focus on what is the most important. Your health and your family. I can assure you, time is non refundable. It is limited and it’s the most precious gift you can give or be given. Please don’t waste a moment of it. For one day, you will realize all of that time you spent worrying about things that don’t matter… could have been spent with the people you love and care about. As the weekend draws to an end, I hope you spend it with the people who matter the most to you. Not being busy and doing things that are just noise or obligations. It is the small things that matter and will be what you cling to in your darkest moments. Stay focused on that. Have a great Sunday folks… on purpose. And hug your people a little tighter. #timeisnonrefundable #peoplefirst #sundayreflections #livewithpurpose #coachingculture
