TV report clarifies: The rapidly growing influence of shockwave technologies in medicine is a process that is still far too little recognized outside certain specialist circles. This may be due to the fact that, despite all the proven successes, the active principle, known as mechanotransduction, was not fully understood for many years. However, science has made tremendous progress in this area recently, so that shock wave therapies and their previously undreamt-of possibilities are now coming more to the fore - in addition to the increasingly well-known transcranial pulse stimulation (TPS) in neurology and psychiatry, the use of shock waves on the open heart at the University of Innsbruck recently made headlines at a specialist level. Shock waves have enormous potential to expand the therapeutic possibilities in medicine. But what they actually are, how they work and what they can achieve is not yet common knowledge. A report recently broadcast on Austrian ORF provided a comprehensive and highly informative overview of the history, processes of action, developments, areas of application and an outlook on the possibilities in the near future - if the relevant knowledge is communicated and available. Unfortunately, like all other programs, the report was only available in the ORF media library for 7 days. However, the German ARD has now also broadcast this real "teaching model" and the report can now be accessed here until April 1, 2024. Both medical professionals and interested laypeople should definitely watch the documentary: It is a good piece of further education! https://lnkd.in/gbJF8RWG #shockwaves #shockwavemedicine #mechanotransduction #shockwaveneurology #shockwavepsychiatry #transcranialpulsestimulation #tps #universityinnsbruck #shockwavecardiology #shockwavedocumentary #shockwavereport #reportageard #ard #shockwavetelevisionreport #firstgermantelevision
