I often get asked how to start a non-profit and after 12 years my advice is to find an existing non-profit and align with them. Utah has thousands of non-profits and each of us need more volunteers and donations. So, just so you know how we do it. Running a non-profit takes endless amounts of time, energy and pure tenacity. Here are steps 1-5 that we needed to complete. Not to mention the monthly and annual expenses to make it all work. Whew!!
