https://lnkd.in/dce4j5G2 the rotational speed of a 380V motor change after it is converted to 220V? 1. **Rotational speed situation when directly changing the wiring method and adding capacitors** - **Principle analysis**: - For a three-phase asynchronous motor, its rotational speed formula is \(n = n_1(1 - s)\), where \(n\) is the actual rotational speed of the motor, \(n_1\) is the synchronous rotational speed of the motor, and \(s\) is the slip ratio. The synchronous rotational speed \(n_1=\frac{60f}{p}\), where \(f\) is the power supply frequency and \(p\) is the number of pole pairs of the motor. When a 380V motor is converted to be powered by 220V by changing the wiring method and adding capacitors, the power supply frequency \(f\) remains unchanged (the frequency of the power grid in China is generally 50Hz), and the number of pole pairs \(p\) of the motor also remains unchanged. - As long as the load torque of the motor does not exceed its maximum torque, the slip ratio \(s\) basically remains stable. Therefore, the synchronous rotational speed \(n_1\) remains unchanged, and the actual rotational speed \(n\) also remains basically unchanged. - **Explanation of the actual situation**: - In practical applications, if the load carried by the motor remains unchanged and the parameters such as the capacitance value after the modification are selected appropriately so that the motor can operate normally, then the rotational speed of the motor under the rated load has basically no change compared with when it is powered by 380V. However, if the capacitance value is improperly selected, it may affect the magnetic field strength of the motor, causing the rotational speed of the motor to fluctuate to some extent. For example, if the capacitance value is too small, it may lead to insufficient starting torque of the motor, making it difficult for the motor to start, and the rotational speed may decrease during the operation process; if the capacitance value is too large, it may cause the current of the motor to be too large, which may also have some adverse effects on the rotational speed and may even damage the motor. 2. **Rotational speed situation when using a single-phase frequency converter** - **Principle analysis**: - When a single-phase frequency converter is used to convert 220V single-phase electricity into three-phase electricity to supply power to a 380V motor, the frequency converter can adjust the frequency of the output voltage. According to the motor rotational speed formula \(n = n_1(1 - s)=\frac{60f}{p}(1 - s)\), changing the frequency \(f\) can change the synchronous rotational speed \(n_1\) of the motor, thereby changing the actual rotational speed \(n\) of the motor.
Will the rotational speed of a 380V motor change after it is converted to 220V?

We have come so far on this this topic of sensors, but not far enough. Eleventh on my list today, I will be discussing on the Voltage Sensors: Voltage sensors monitor the battery voltage and electrical system to ensure proper functioning. It typically measures the battery's state of charge, alternator output and electrical loads. In some Mercedes-Benz, it may be located on the alternator or in the power distribution box. though, it is usually integrated into the battery control module or near the positive battery terminal in the engine bay or trunk. Some common voltage sensor issues and solutions include: Sensor failure; Sensor replacement. Loose connections; Wiring repair. Over-voltage or under-voltage; Alternator testing. Software glitches; ECU update. #Sensors #Automotives #MercedesBenz #Engineering #Voltagesensors
